✨WEDDING VENDORS✨

Your vendor team is arguably the most important part of wedding planning, and has the most to do with the success of your big day.

Your vendor team is like a sports team: each vendor has their specialities, and they work together to support the outcome of the event.

A professional vendor team will also be able to problem solve, shift, and be flexible if needed.

At Vizcaya, we have a list of professional wedding vendors that we share with our couples when they book. We have worked countless events with these vendors, and trust them to take care of our couples & execute a successful event.

With any vendor comes liability. At Vizcaya, we require ALL vendors working on property on your event day to carry liability insurance & list Vizcaya as additionally insured for the day. This document covers our couples from being liable for any injury or damages that occur (where the vendor is at-fault) while they are on Vizcaya property.

All of Vizcaya’s preferred vendors meet this requirement, and have their documents already on file with us. Any vendor hired outside of our preferred list will need to provide the proper insurance to us prior to the event date.

At Vizcaya, we strive for your event to be successful, and we look forward to working collaboratively with your vendor team to achieve this goal!

We love seeing the groom and groomsmen dressed up for the big day, but don’t forget to do this:

👉Try on your suit before the big day!👈

You wouldn’t believe how many times we see pants that are too long/short, and jackets that are too big/small!

This is an easy thing to do in advance, so that you’re not dealing with it on the big day! Having to pin or sew clothes can slow down the timeline, and add unwanted stress for everyone involved.

So, take our pro tip and try it on in advance!

The key to a great guest experience is your MC/DJ! (Also the key to a great dancefloor!)

Guest experience is always on the top of the list for our couples, and so it’s at the top for us as coordinators too!

A critical part of the layout at Vizcaya is that the DJ & bar are both near the dancefloor. There’s no need for the guests to go far to get a drink, and the DJ can provide the best experience possible with close proximity.

This is why we encourage our couples to have their wedding details all in one place & ready to go at the photographers’ arrival.

So what details are we talking about?

•Perfume/cologne
•Garter
•Jewelry
•Hair accessories
•Shoes
•Heirlooms
•Vow Books
•Pocket Square
•Tie
•Cuff Links
•Decorative Ribbon
•Decorative Display Pieces (such as the mirrored tray shown here)
•Flat-Lay Flowers **this is a big one!**
**If you want flowers in your detail shots (otherwise knows as “flat-lays”), make sure you TELL YOUR FLORIST. Florists will provide the photographer with beautiful buds they have set aside just for this purpose. And sometimes these flowers cost extra, so make sure you ask in advance!

✨Pro Tip: Have all of these items collected, in a specific place (we suggest your shoebox), & labeled. AND, do this the day before so you don’t have to worry day-of. 😎

Detail photos not only include all of the above, but also snagging your wedding attire and taking photos of it around the property. This means to make sure your garments (dress, veil, suit jacket) are steamed or press and ready to go by your photographers’ arrival!
