Jacob + Dashawn

Jacob and Dashawn met online, despite being over 50 miles apart. After a few weeks of chatting, they met the day after Valentine’s Day in 2019 and have been inseparable ever since.

They bonded over solving escape rooms, and during one of these adventures, Dashawn proposed with a scroll revealing Jacob’s engagement ring and the code ‘ILOVEU.’”

This wonderful couple met in undergrad at NYU and both immediately admired each other’s choice of shoes. They started dating after spending hours a day book clubbing together (and trying to find excuses to stay on the phone after exhausting all the book topics). They spent years dating long distance while they finished graduate programs, and during one weekend trip.

FUN FACT: Carol proposed to Hayley (using a book) in her apartment while they waited for their bagels to be delivered. They finally live together with their two dogs, Tooty and Chunk, and can’t wait to get married surrounded by book!

We did our first Bridal Expo this weekend at the Meadowlands Center in Secaucus, NJ and it was such a great feeling! It was a wonderful experience and such a pleasure networking with so many other fantastic vendors. I am so grateful for my team and all their hard work and dedication. I am so excited to see what this year has in store for us and all the special moments we get to be apart of for our clients.
