In some parts of the US, today (Feb 29) is celebrated every 4 yrs as Sadie Hawkins Day.
It’s the day when it is acceptable for women to propose to men, OR at least initiate a first date.
Times have changes since this “backwards” tradition started in the mid-1900’s, and we are ALL FOR empowered women to help out the shy guys.
