What did I do?

What a busy, wonderful year it has been. 2023 had so many ups and downs, and downs, and downs again. I achieved some great personal successes in my industry, was able to travel for speaking engagements and educate hundreds of other photographers. It is living the dream! However, it has been a difficult year for the industry as well. Many people simply cannot afford luxury items like professional portraits, and I feel and understand that. We're all going through it right now but what's important is that we keep going. It's time to support one another, continue to hire small local businesses, and even encouraging them in small gestures like sharing their work online. When your community thrives we all do. I am so grateful to live this life as an artist, to create beauty in the lives of my clients, and to support my family in doing so. My childhood self would be so proud of me!
