The summer solstice, or “sommarsolstånd” in Swedish, is a significant and joyous occasion in our Swedish/ Finnish culture celebrating summer and the longest day of the year. Eating, drinking, dancing, making flower crowns is a central part of the tradition. We celebrated with friends and family. It’s a time to enjoy the long days, the warmth of summer, and the company of loved ones.
