Sunday, November 24, we’re having a different kind of fun … a listening room experience! Keep reading …

A band with roots in international music, ZaZa Flamenca, bills themselves as “Florida’s World Music Band.” Yael Dray, guitarist and vocalist, Jonathan Dotson, classical guitarist, and Orlando Noel Muñiz, percussionist, perform multiple genres including gypsy jazz, rumba, Flamenco, and music from France, Israel, Spain, and South America.

Yael Dray has had an international career and sings in 10 different languages; Dr. Jonathan Dotson has performed domestically and abroad and has had a long career teaching guitar to high school and college students; Orlando Noel Muñiz has a versatility that ranges from South American folk rhythms to European styles.

For one night only, the band will have an intimate performance at the Third Space Improv studio. As part of this experience, Cuban Flamenco dancer Mariana Ramos will perform with the band.

Third Space offers beer, wine, soft drinks, fresh popcorn, a snack bar—and free parking.

Tickets for this special listening room performance are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Thank you to the St. Johns Cultural Council for helping us build an accessible stage through this grant! 🎉

Each year, the St. Johns Cultural Council administers the State of the Arts grant program with applications opening on September 1st.

In 2024, SJCC will award six grants for $1,500 to nonprofit organizations, individual artists, and public schools to support new or expanded programs in disciplines including arts in education, visual arts, historic preservation, or the collection or exhibition of cultural or artistic works.
