Inspo brought to life! ๐ High bun โ๏ธ Shimmer โ๏ธ Glowing skin โ๏ธ Bold lip โ๏ธ Pearlsโ๏ธ Is this what you expected? Should we talk about it? I think so! ๐ Inspo is inspo! Itโs not copy & paste, itโs not duplicate, itโs not exact. Inspo is meant to inspire and bring imagery to the conversation. So letโs touch on each detail, shall we? I will preface this was a shoot we arranged specifically for the purpose of creating content, so I did stray slightly more than normal from the inspo, but everything Im going to share still applies. ๐ The inspo you chose called for a high, messy bun. I opted for a slightly less high bun to spotlight the current trends, and also I just liked it lol. Itโs not as messy/deconstructed as the inspo bc Stellaโs hair texture just didnโt lend itself to that type of style exactly. While her hair is gorgeous, itโs also very long, doesnโt have many layers, and is silky smooth from keratin treatments. A slightly more structured bun was a better fit for her hair texture. If this was a real bride Iโd likely ask if I could cut some shorter pieces to create more face framing for that romantic look. Letโs talk about the glow. I wanted glow, you wanted glowโฆ Stellaโs skin was on the fence ๐ her skin is normal to oily, it was super humid and raining, and it was warmer inside than we expected. With a real bride, Iโd advise to start more on the matte side, knowing it would get dewier with the elements. Because we only needed the makeup for a couple hours I went all in with super emollient products. While we got the shots we wanted, the makeup was definitely breaking down by the end. Everything else was pretty easy to deliver. Every trend is not for everyone or every occasion. Every look you find may not suit you, but there may be an alternative that you love just as much! Also keep in mind, recreating someone elseโs work on a completely different person is a whole factor within itself. Always
