Feeling some classics today. getting some playtime.
Used to be a fulltime club DJ. Now I just share music as much as I can and throw together the occasional mix - Breaks/House/DNB/NuJazz/Downtempo/Whatever
Feeling some classics today. getting some playtime.
Diggin in some for my midday!
Just such an absolute, compete, classic album! Even working on a resume and looking for work is more fun (and ) listening to the legendary Mr.
With the weekend here, I thought it was time to share this again. Mixed in the midst of the days of quarantine and borderline hysteria, this turned out to be one my favorite mixes in years.
A mix of and from some amazing producers that I cannot thank enough for putting out such great music! otodojo Adult Fiction Hybrid Minds Because of Art SpeakmanSound Monophonik Dubrunner Alex Jann
For the first time in almost 20 years from me, a set of almost entirely new music, with a few tracks I've either never had a chance to mix or only recently came across. A mix of Breaks, Electro, and Leftfield brought to you by time alone and a desire for some new beats. Listen! Enjoy! Comment! Share...
With the greatest of humility and the utmost hope that this will get your spirits lifted and your hind parts movin', I present to you my latest Ode to Getting Older, .
So many amazing tracks out there recently, it's hard to pick which to include! Much love and respect to the likes of Joy Orbison, the legendary Mr. Goldie and William Orbit, Seb Wildblood, and MAGNVM! with Lazy Ants (Good laud, what a B-A-N-G-E-R); you know it's stacked with 100% brilliant tracks!
Figured I should throw something together in recognition of my 47th rotation around the sun. Here's a mix of some of the latest tracks that have caught my ear over the last year or so, somewhat abruptly cut off at ~47 minutes. Hope you enjoy, comment, and SHARE! Huge respect to the artists and produ...

My beautifully wonderful daughter asked me for my favorite from my a few days ago. I gave my standard response, "Go outside and pick your favorite cloud!" She persisted and I offered one of my many favorites. Yesterday, she returned this masterpiece as my present. She's just so awesome!!
Curious who knows which this is. I'd say she did pretty darn good!
Replacing sleeves and dug this out. Well, now I'm gonna have to blast this little and go see again!
Forever a classic!
Some getting me through the morning.
This song has been playing over and over in my head for the past couple of days. Luther Vandross was (is) still one of the greatest voices of the last few generations and this song is still, in my opinion, one of the greatest R&B/Pop tracks ever recorded.

For anyone ever wishing you could be "Somewhere Else," here's a mix that may help take you there. A set from a while back that still transports me someplace a little more chill. Enjoy!
A mix of downtempo, nu-jazz, minimal, and whatever else I happened to be feeling that day.
Such an incredible talent!! I'll bump some Blackalicious tracks tonight, for sure!! My prayers are with those close to him and along with a World of fans, thank you for "making music that'll bump for 1000 years!"

A long time ago (well, 20 years ago), in a galaxy far far away (well, Daytona Beach, definitely a different sort of galaxy), one of the greatest DJs to have embraced the power of The Beat, in celebration of another passing of his home planet's rotation around its sun, along with his trusted cohort, Mr. Baker - the two known throughout the realm as The Doctors of Rhythm, this set was recorded.
Happy Birthday, DJ Dave Maltais!!
The Dr's of Rhythm release another Dj Mix from the vault archives on this Throwback Thursday just days away from the 13th Anniversary of this live mix at Club 600 North in Daytona Beach Florida. In 20
On this day in 1987, Depeche Mode released “Strangelove” - the lead single from their sixth studio album “Music for the Masses”
“Strange highs and strange lows”
I so completely love these two! Nicole Paris and her just simply killin' it, ev'ry time!!
Oh, Mr. Bill Withers, thank you for sharing your lovely, soulful voice with the world!
Yup, music is such a part of the . For some of those that grew up in the late 70's into the 80's, this list really does feel like a list of "standards" - almost cliche when they drop into a set. For others, they'd have no idea. Makes me wanna go pull all these tracks and mix all of 'em!! Yes, I have most of them on vinyl. Wish I had them all!!
I grew up when breakdance was very popular.
In these times Electro was part of the international pop music.
We had a US Army base in town.
The DJs in the music club in our town played much US imported vinyl. R&B, Soul, Electro, Hip-Hop.
I've listened to these tracks when they came out.
This track list looks like a pure cliche today .
Almost unreal and very nostalgic.
This playlist is burned into my robotic memory and I am raised and socialized with these tunes.
That's way bigger then just knowing these tracks.
I am one of many 'cause back then it was part of pop music and a lot of teenagers were listening to that sound.
Back then we also listened to C64 computer music.
To me this is the beginning and the foundation of Electro and I am the logical extension of it.
