Brooke called us Sunday evening to ask if we were we available for a sunrise engagement session the next morning. I could hear the excitement in her voice as she shared that she and Jack had just gotten engaged moments before calling. Of course, I said yes, and I couldn’t wait to meet them.

These high school sweethearts have built a life together—Brooke as a hairstylist and Jack as a fireman—and now they’re stepping into this next chapter. The morning of their engagement, they got matching shark-themed tattoos, and that evening, as the sun set over the beach, Jack got down on one knee. We couldn’t resist recreating that special moment at the start of their session.

We love that Kelly had this reaction before he even had the ring out. This was such a special proposal on the bayfront, with her sister and her boyfriend there to witness the moment. Her sister helped coordinate every detail, making it even more meaningful. It’s always an honor to capture these milestones, and even more special when a friend and family member makes the connection. Congratulations to this sweet couple!

This sunrise beach proposal was so special! Dylan and Sydney came into town with their dog, staying with her best friend Brandi and her husband, who helped orchestrate the whole thing. Brandi called me to help plan the proposal, sharing that Sydney might have a hunch it was coming. When Sydney asked if she should get her nails done, Brandi gave the perfect reply: “It’s always a good idea to get your nails done!”

Brandi went all out, dropping off a basket with champagne, photos, and other thoughtful gifts to make the moment even more memorable. On the big day, Brandi and her husband came along for support, hanging back as Dylan proposed to Sydney by the rock jetty.

It was a beautiful moment to capture and a true testament to friendship and love. Congratulations to Dylan and Sydney!

The Granger family’s session at her grandparents’ beach home was especially meaningful, as the house was sold shortly afterward, making it our final time capturing memories in this beloved location. The first session here was for Vallie’s first birthday, and this time, I got to meet baby sister Dottie. It was bittersweet to document these moments, knowing how much this home has meant to their family. I’ve had the honor of photographing the Grangers since their wedding at TPC Sawgrass in 2017, and being part of their journey is something I’ll always cherish.

This is a proposal that almost didn’t happen. Of course you know how busy the Nights of Lights are in St. Augustine. TONS of people were at the location where Russ wanted to propose to Madison. In fact, this photographer was using the space for a long time right when we needed it empty. We told her that a proposal was going to happen but she didn’t understand and wouldn’t move over just a bit. Eventually it all worked out and we got the perfect shot. The lights are pretty but it was definitely one of our closest calls with a proposal. Congratulations you two.

Even in winter I get to do beach sessions. Luckily it wasn’t too cold unlike today when I captured the Littman family. I’m so happy they did matching coordinated outfits. I recommend everyone do that for the best photos. Is summer here yet?

Hi again social media. It’s been a little bit. We took off to spend time with family and we hope you had a great holiday too. Even though I wasn’t posting I definitely was shooting. Several weddings, a few family shoots, and a ton of proposals. This is Chase and Madison. Such a sweet couple and some great emotions on this one. We coordinated everything and captured it at all Vilano Beach.

I had another repeat client session recently with the McElhinney family. It’s been such an incredible journey with Kirsten and TJ since their engagement session 10 years ago! From capturing their wedding to their first baby announcement and a beach gender reveal with colored smoke cannons, I’ve had the honor of documenting so many special memories. This latest session, with help from Kirsten’s mom, their kids, and their dog, was another special chapter. I look forward to continuing to watch their family grow up!

Golden hour at Vilano Beach made this senior session perfection, complete with her adorable pup, Oreo! I first photographed this family five years ago in Palm Coast, and it was such a joy to reconnect again during this session in St Augustine. Full circle moments like this are why I love what I do! Cory, Mallory, and their two adorable kids brought the fun and smiles to their session with me at the Castillo de San Marcos. Adding to the mix, Cory’s parents joined us, making this session feel more like how we first met…

Fun fact: Cory first stepped in front of my camera back in 2009 with his family when he was a high school senior. It’s been such an honor to capture their milestones (proposal, wedding, maternity, and family) and watch their family grow over the years. Moments like these are the ultimate reminder of why I cherish the bonds I build with my clients, celebrating these special moments in their lives. My favorites are the relationships that grow into lifelong connections! 💕

Chloe and Logan brought a touch of magic to their engagement session in downtown St. Augustine. Her light blue dress gave Cinderella vibes by the city gates, reminding me of a Disney castle entrance! Their love story began online while he was traveling for work, followed by a long-distance romance before he moved to Ponte Vedra to be with her. He proposed in the charming courtyard of the Lightner Museum, and now they’re planning their dream wedding at next May. Capturing their joy was an absolute honor!

✨ The Proposal Story of Tony & Nina ✨

Tony and Nina’s journey together reached a new chapter on Aviles Street, surrounded by love, laughter, and a perfect touch of surprise. After five beautiful years together, Tony knew it was time to pop the question—so with the help of his sister, he created a plan to make it unforgettable.

The setup? Tony’s sister coordinated a “chance” meetup, inviting them to swing by her photoshoot on Aviles Street before heading out for a celebratory dinner at Nonna’s Trattoria, a spot filled with special memories for the couple. Little did Nina know, a breathtaking proposal scene was waiting for her. With the help of Laurel from there were lighted letters and stunning decor transformed the street into a moment she’d never forget. And as she turned to see Tony on one knee, 13 of their closest family and friends stood by, cheering with excitement and joy, witnessing the start of their new chapter together.

And here’s the best part: Nina had just come off an incredible high, winning every category in her NPC fitness competition in Daytona the day before—including the Overall title! It was a weekend full of victories and unforgettable memories. 🏆💍

Congratulations to the newly engaged Tony & Nina! Here’s to many more years of love, adventure, and beautiful surprises like this one. 🌹✨

I had an awesome time photographing this talented senior recently at both the fort and the beach! A couple of years ago, I captured some beautiful family moments with them by the water, and I was so thrilled they reached out again for his senior session.

Logan is a standout both in and out of the classroom, staying active with multiple clubs (including chess ♟️) and he’s a dedicated member of the swim team with early morning practices before school! 🏊‍♂️ Here’s to celebrating all his accomplishments and the exciting journey ahead. Wishing him the best in his senior year!
