About Lightner Museum Weddings
Formerly the Alcazar Hotel, the Lightner Museum continues the tradition of providing unique spaces for weddings and special events. Built in 1888 as an entertainment center for the luxurious Ponce de Leon Hotel, it was visited by more than 25,000 guests. Countless more used the recreational facilities of the Casino and the world’s largest indoor swimming pool.
Art, culture, and romance emanate through the multiple indoor and outdoor venue spaces available for your wedding or event. The Historic Pool and Mezzanine features magnificent high ceilings, grand staircases, and multiple levels for entertaining on your wedding day. A spacious Outdoor Terrace, adjacent to the Pool and Mezzanine, can be utilized for outdoor wedding ceremonies. The Grand Lobby is perfect for your cocktail hour, and features sparkling chandeliers, historic art pieces, and mosaic tile floors. These unique spaces provide the ability to accommodate grand events for up to 250 guests. This makes the Lightner Museum not only one of the most elegant St Augustine wedding venues, but one of the most versatile as well!
For an incomparable experience in a world-class setting that is listed on the Register of Historic Places and has hosted celebrations for 130 years, consider the Lightner Museum for your wedding or special event.
