Party Pro LLC and the Parks & Recreation Department raised $448 at the recent Winter Wonderland Carnival to help with the Food Pack Program at St James Schools. The check was presented to Superintendent Tim Webster by Park Director Kristy Rich, Brittany Townsend (Party Pro) and Cathy Skelton (Party Pro owner). Everyone felt the Carnival was successful for its first year, and there are plans to make it an annual event.

The Parks & Recreation Department is partnering with Party Pro LLC to offer the Winter Wonderland Carnival. Bounce Houses, Carnival Games, Food and a lot of fun will be set up in the gym in the Rec Center. The event will run 10 AM-6 PM Saturday, December 9. Wristbands are $8 per person and are good for all of the activities. Proceeds from the event will benefit the School District's Food Sack program. Wristbands can be purchased at the door the day of the event, or on-line at stjparks.recdesk.com under Community Programs.

Everyone has been asking for the Rich’s Halloween Block Party 2023 update, and unfortunately, the news is disheartening.
The St. James R-1 School District has approximately $6,000 or 2,182 delinquent lunch accounts, which will continue to increase as the school year continues.
What can we do as a community to help?
Area First Responders and Rich’s Famous Burgers will host a Halloween Block Party on 10-28-23. The block party is a FREE family event, but you can pay it forward and help erase school lunch debt during the event.
Rich’s Famous Burgers will donate 10% of food sales to help eliminate some of the school lunch debt (ALL DAY on the 28th). Local First Responders and local businesses will participate in a pumpkin decorating contest. You help decide the winner by placing a small monetary donation for your favorite decorated pumpkin. Also, be sure to check out the fantastic silent auction items!
Let’s unite as a community for an evening of fun while we help erase some of the school lunch debt. If you cannot attend the block party and want to donate, you may drop off your donation at
the St. James Police Department. Please make checks out to St. James R-1 School District Nutrition Department and document school lunch debt in the memo. You can also drop off your donation at Rich's Famous Burgers. They have a donation jar setup by the register.
