We are excited to kick off (a few days early) with the unveiling of our display panels, "Your Story, My Story, Our Story," which share themes from dozens of St. James residents' immigration experiences. As a bonus, we got to display Welcome Wagon children's books donated by NYT bestselling author Bob McKinnon Moving Up Media Lab ! Thank you Welcoming America for connecting us with this opportunity!

The books will be on display again at the Multicultural Fiesta 2024 on September 14!

Please join the St. James Ambulance Service in celebrating 50 years of serving our community!

The evening will begin with a free will donation of hot beef or pulled pork sandwiches and fixings. Local businesses have donated raffle prizes for the event.

Don't be complacent with the lull in the rain. Much of the water that fell from the recent rains is beginning to fill into the waterway basins and cause waterways to overflow their banks. Here is a picture taken in western Madelia Township from the South Branch of the Watonwan River that just breached the road at 4:24 Friday. At night, this will be harder to see, so please take your time if you are driving in flood susceptible areas. Please report any encroachments in the county to 375-3121.
