Last month, the Minnesota Humanities Center, along with many of their partners and sponsors, came together to commemorate Juneteenth at @st.pauleventcenter . The 2024 Juneteenth Brunch featured Bakari Sellers and included brunch, conversation, and a book signing.Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day and America’s second Independence Day, marks the end of slavery in the United States. It became a federal holiday in 2021 and a Minnesota state holiday in 2023. This day presents an opportunity to celebrate, educate, agitate, and create.We were honored to help host this stunning event and see each moving piece come to life 🙌
