Forgetting the basement door is open... Falling ...
"Catching" yourself by holding on the trap/floor door...
[Safety hook breaks] ...
"Catching" yourself (again), this time by the wrist being slammed between the door, door frame, and wall...
Hanging by said smashed wrist until you can get a foot on the step to open the door...

All the night before my 7am work flight to rural Maine... 🤕

HUGE shout outs to:
💜All my former first aid trainers because I stayed calm to successfully splint my own arm with ice packs and an infinity scarf
💜Luca, who quickly checked on me, got me ice packs, patted my back while I was crying, and talked to my parents when I couldn't
💜 My mom for immediately driving over to take me to the ER
💜 United Hospital (Downtown St Paul) for really friendly staff and getting me in and out of there in less than 2 hours

This could've been SO MUCH WORSE... But X-rays are clear, so it's most likely just severe bruising and wrist sprain.
Wish me luck flying/recovering this week! 😰🤕
