I've been a featured artist in many venues, won numerous awards, and my paintings are in several private collections.

In my current work, familiar objects find themselves rearranged into starkly iconic images riddled with ambivalence and ambiguity. I wish to make tangible broadly understood realities while also allowing for a wide range of personal interpretation. It is the unexpected combination of the extraordinary differences between these 3D items and 2D imagery that creates the psychological depth of the message and projects a vivid physical presence. I start with an abstract social / political / economic reality and from it create a profoundly ambiguous ‘object’—both clear and vague, confrontational, yet accessible. My desire is to tap into and energize dimensions beyond the physical thing.

"Creativity is freedom but there must also be rules. As soon as there are rules, then freedom is no longer pure. The band accepted that it lived a paradoxical life thus “We live to survive our paradoxes.” They would be creative on their terms but within reason it seems."
