Officially retired Friday December 15. 2023

10/25/2023

So I wanted to let everyone know that I have sold the business to two young ladies, Jasmine Locklear and Reva Orr. They will be taking over Jan 1 2024. I will be retiring the middle of December. Please come and meet them and give them a chance to help you with all your floral needs. I will be helping them understand your needs, So that you are still taken good care of. If I am needed they already know I will be more than happy to help them in anyway I can. Also all accounts in good standings will still be honored. I am sure they will make some changes to make it more their own and to serve the community even better. For me its bittersweet but its time to take some me time and slow down.. Thanks to all who have supported me over the 23 years here. I appreciate all of you and so very thankful for each and everyone. I will miss all the conversations I have had with so many of you over the years. Shared some tears as well for lost loved ones. Please know that your friendship and support has always been greatly appreciated. God bless each and everyone of you.

Comanche portraits
North America was a place of great turbulence and many conflicts when the newcomers decided to inhabit the land and take parts of it for themselves.
In the 18th and 19th century, many tribes, such as Iroquois, Cherokee and Shawnee were overwhelmed by the number of settlers moving westward across America.
When the settlers started moving to the southern edges of the continent their movement was put to a halt for some time. A fierce tribe of Comanche were the reason for it.Even though many tribes have adapted to the introduction of the horse, the Comanche were the group who took most advantage out of it.Previously being an obscure mountain tribe, the Comanche became the fiercest and most famous riders that caused many troubles to the settlers.
In contrast to, for example, Sioux and Cheyenne that would dismount their horses before battle, Comanche continued riding in a fight, which gave them a significant advantage

So I'm off this week for vacation, just hanging out and I get a text message from Mr Jonathan at McNeill Legacy funeral home, asking if I would be able to do some flowers for him for the passing of a family member, of course I said yes if I'm able to get flowers that is, being our flower supplier had beed closed as well, but anyway as you can see I was able to get flowers, I want to thank Mr Jonathan, I was honored that you asked, I am glad that I was able to, and thank you to your friendly staff,

So as some of you already know. And to those who didn't know, I am planning to retire soon. It all depends on if someone would be interested in taking over the business. I do not want to leave my customers without. They have depended on me for years. This is a well-established business; I have been back here in St Pauls going on 26 years. opened this shop in 2000, this is my 23rd year. Although I have been in the Floral industry for over 45 years. I have worked both the wholesale and the retail side of the floral industry, Mostly retail but I got my start in the wholesale side of it Thanks to Pat Hagins and my mom. I needed a job and but knew nothing about flowers, and here I am so many many years later, If I could do it so can others if given a chance. Maybe this would be good for you or someone you know, But yes after all these years its time, Time to slow down a little, Right now I really do not have a date set to retire. Although I have one in mind. =) and I do have someone who is interested in the business. Which if it could be worked out would be great and also keep me involved in it here to a degree, which would be great. But that's not set in stone yet either. I am hopeful it will, But meanwhile I am still looking to see if someone might have an interest. If you know of someone I would be open to talk to them. Its good opportunity for the right person. so really if you know of someone but think they might not could afford it, Have them contact me anyway, You just never know. I have established some great customers and friendships over all these years, I would like to pass those customers on to someone who can take care of their floral needs. To all my wonderful loyal customers, Elvis hasn't left the building just yet. I will do a follow up later in the year or when I know more and a date for sure. Meanwhile I am still here to help you when you need flowers.
