Registration closes January 20. Join us for High School Dance Day!

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College is offering an afternoon of dance master classes for high school students (grades 9-12) taught by Gustavus Dance faculty. Students with or without experience are welcome to participate, and they will be placed in sessions accordingly.

Cost is $10, and registration is required. Space is limited, so please register early. Fee includes workshops, dinner on campus and a ticket to the dance concert for the student. Registration closes January 20, 2025.

Tickets for Wintering: The Gustavus Dance Company in Concert are now on sale at gustavustickets.com. The show runs January 23-26th, 2025.

This year’s dance concert, Wintering, considers the crossroads of renewal and active regeneration. Join us and experience the excitement surrounding our first winter dance concert featuring the choreography of guest artist Natosha Washington, faculty Sarah Hauss, Jill Patterson, Melissa C. Rolnick and selected student work.

Sunday afternoon, lovely day for the theatre is it not? The final performance of The New House is today at 2pm in Anderson Theatre. While the show is sold out, there will be a waitlist to distribute the tickets that have been returned or not used. A story of love, loyalty, money, and full of laughter, The New House opened last night to great success. Our remaining performances are completely sold out, however we will have a waitlist to distribute the tickets that have been returned or not used. The waitlist will open 30 minutes before the show starts and people can sign up then. There is a performance tonight at 8pm and tomorrow the 15th at 2pm.

It is opening night for our 2nd production of the '24-'25 season: The New House by Carlo Goldoni. All performances are sold out. If you are still interested in trying to get a ticket, there will be a formal waitlist that will open at 25 minutes before curtain at the box office. Happy Opening and break a leg to everyone involved in the show!

With the end of the fall semester just around the corner, we know exactly what time that means! Our Fall Dance Classes will be having their Final Friday Showings this Friday December 13th. All are welcome to come support their friends!

In addition, on Tuesday December 17 at 8:00 pm in Gardner, Dance Composition 1 and 2 students will be showing their final solos and trios. Again all are welcome to view the culmination of their semester's choreographic work.

Students attended a variety of workshops taught by theatre faculty, had dinner in the Market Place, and were given a free ticket to that evening’s performance of Our Town by Thornton Wilder.
