Spring break is here and we want you all to have a blast - just do so safely and within the law.

Always have a plan to get home safely with either a sober driver/boater or through a ride-share app.

Rip currents can easily pull a person away from the shore in a matter of seconds. Before heading out to the beach check the rip current statement for the area.

Stay off of the dunes! These areas are roped off with signage alerting you to stay out of the area. We are working to renourish our beaches and need your help keep these areas free of damage.

Keep your eyes on your children. A child can drown in just 20 seconds.

When you park the car, make sure your car is locked and your valuables are concealed.

Also you should check local laws & ordinances about open containers. There are very few beaches that allow alcohol in our county – do your homework to avoid potential trouble.

Stay hydrated – with water! Spending the day in the sun is dehydrating enough, when you add alcohol to the mix it's even worse! Take care of yourself and drink plenty of water.
