๐Ÿšจ Big Thanks to Battalion Chief John Tyre with the Brunswick Fire Department who generously donated approximately 1,600 feet of old fire hose to us! These hoses, with their durable rubber lining and tough woven exterior, are perfect for protecting dock lines from chafing during hurricanes. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒŠ

Weโ€™ll be cutting the hoses into 18-24โ€ sections and distributing them to our marina customers in preparation for the upcoming 2025 hurricane season. This is just one more way weโ€™re working to keep our boats and docks safe during stormy weather.

Thank you, Chief Tyre and the Brunswick Fire Department, for this thoughtful contribution to our boating community!

Lots of places claim to be the origin of Brunswick stew. Though popular in the American South, the origin of the dish is uncertain, but it is believed to have been invented in the early 19th century. The states of Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia all make claims for originating the stew, in addition to rumors of a German origin. (Georgia has the physical proof though.)
