This happened to me in a coffee shop, yesterday. A complete stranger, making my cuppa coffee, actually asked about my day…and then cared about my answer.

This is becoming increasingly rare.

I hope I can make someone feel valued in this way. It’s part of the reason I started the .

How many conversations have you had recently, where you talked about yourself, your plans, your hopes, your trips, your family, your failures —— you you you. That person listening did you a moral favor. They cared about you as a human.

Pay it forward by asking more questions in your next conversation. 🤍

🗣️Hey!! Let go of the idea that your photos need to look like a Sears catalog-everyone smiling at the camera and hair perfectly placed - and I promise that in even two years, you’ll look back and remember a feeling that you wouldn’t otherwise get.

We’d already rescheduled my sister’s maternity session because of storms, but it still ended up raining on reschedule day. We decided to just shoot at her house; I’m OBSESSED. Little boys are the SWEETEST! It’s been a year since I’ve seen Baby J, and he has grown SO MUCH! He was just the cutest thing ever and I think it’s pretty visible just how cuddly he is!

TL;DR- Peep the fall light and the beautiful family plus doggos!

If we shoot at your house and you have pets, LET THEM IN! Your pets do not annoy me, and I'm a huge animal lover. When I go into people's homes, they apologize profusely when their doggos jump on me. Insider tip: if I could spend our entire hour playing with them instead of working, I would🙃. I love your pets and you should absolutely let them in for a few shots! They aren't here for a long time, and every extra memory you can capture is one you can some day look back on!
