Guest Announcement MVCAE 2025 – “Illustrator / Disney Artist” William “Bill” Langley

William has spent the last 45 years working as an illustrator in addition to being a staff artist at Walt Disney Studios from 1979 to 1989 until he become head of Disney’s comic art department from 1987 to 1989 while also overseeing Disney Studios International Comic Companies in Japan, Asia, Europe and South America.

After 1989 he opened William Langley Studios, Inc. and contracted with five major publishers of Disney Studios children’s books.
He has illustrated 200+ children’s books and stories, designed 400+ licensed products including figurines, 80+ licensed t-shirt designs and worked on many pre-production movie projects.

Guest Announcement MVCAE 2025 – “Cosplayer” Miriam G. Cummins

Miriam, aka Inspiring Lotus, is a single mother of two, an advocate for special education and a vibrant community leader in Albany, Oregon. She will be a cosplay contest judge at our event.

As an international cosplayer, Miriam brings characters to life with a global flair, including stunning portrayals as Princess Jasmine against the backdrop of the Pyramids and the vibrant El Khalili Bazaar in Egypt. A dedicated champion for representation, she passionately advocates for marginalized voices and embodies authenticity in every action. Miriam believes in the power of staying true to oneself despite societal pressures, which fuels her deep commitment to community involvement.

Alongside her advocacy, she finds joy in travel, dance, and the colorful world of cosplay. Embracing her inner heroines—such as Wonder Woman (both the movie and Lynda Carter versions), Trinity from The Matrix, Princess Leia, various Jedi, an Egyptian Warrior Goddess, a Ghostbuster, a Hogwarts Student (Slytherin), Bo-Katan, and America Chavez (Marvel) with more on the way. Miriam celebrates strength and conviction, inspiring others to do the same. On her journey of self-discovery, she invites others to join her in creating a more inclusive and authentic world.

Warren is a freelance artist with 36 years of comic book experience. He has provided lettering and coloring for many publishers.

Publishers include Dark Horse Comics, Random House, Scholastic, Insight Edition, Boom! Studios, Pilot Studios, Albatross Funnybooks and many more. Titles include: Sweet Valley Twins, First Test: Protector of the Small, Wonder City, Adventure Time, Toil and Trouble, Over The Garden Wall, Jim Henson's The Storyteller, Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy, 'Namwolf, Galaktikon, Hillbilly and more.
