I ended up Intertwine my solo kayaking trip with my husbands riding trip for old time sake. Found a happy medium. Where I can join my husband in his element, why I kayak my element in all the amazing waterways and dunes between Florence and Coosbay Oregon. It’s a week filled of fun and adventure around each corner. Enough entertainment to last you a week.

He asked me June 22’ (IN HIS WORDS) … “Can you
help do kayak fundraiser paddle like you done before, to help people like me and people need to understand how hard this for us.“
Of course I agreed. Unfortunately the timing was just not enough time, and wasn’t able to get the connections or any donation in time before the ceremony in time. And my Dad was excited to say a speech… and was worried if he wouldn’t remember. I told my Dad it was okay if he forgot. Because, this is what the event is all about and we would read your speech for you. He keep asking me how it was going. And didn’t have the heart to tell him it wasn’t happening at all. Then the time came Sept last year when it was suppose to happened. And by then my Dad declined dramatically and passed away Oct. 22nd 2022 🥲 I told myself I wasn’t going to let my Dad down again. And was able to connect with the Alzheimer’s Association and they help coach me to make this fundraiser successful and will help me host a short ceremony after the kayak paddle float Sept 10th Sunday at Keizer rapids park. The donations went to our paddle team for the Walk to End Alz. I am so THANKFUL for everyone who is participating and donated!! This means the world to my family and dad KURT EDWARD HANSEN, my Mom DEBBIE HANSEN. And all the other people who lost their love one to this disease! THANK YOU 💜
