How’s your morning going? I woke up to a phone call from our security company telling me that there was someone wearing black inside of our flower shop.
If you have any information, please give us a call or message us here/email. Slender build, tufts of blond hair, wearing all black, white sneakers. This happened at 5:18am-5:45am this morning after a 15 minute attempt to break into my brother’s business next door with a screwdriver. Riverbend and Wallace in West Salem.
Small business owners in Salem and everywhere… do NOT get complacent. Even if you have security, even if you have locked doors, take everything with you, every time.
To our loyal customers, we love you; we’ll be a little out of sorts today, a little heartbroken, but it’s business as usual because we won’t let the bastards get us down 👊🏻
As the sun rose this morning alongside me, accompanying my umpteenth trip up to the Portland flower market and back, I thought about the fact that there was an equally beautiful sunrise that happened the morning that we opened our doors, one year ago today. Last year, I ended the day with a very full glass of champagne. Today, I’m starting the day with one. I can’t believe how far we’ve come; how many new and old relationships we’ve cultivated with our community; that you’ve supported and uplifted us continually; and simply that this long awaited dream is real at all. Celebrate with us tonight. We are spilling over with happy tears and gratitude. Thank you, Salem. Thank you to my family. Thank you to my friends near and far.It took a village and you building that village around this little corner of Riverbend will never be lost on me. Heart burst explosion.
There are three more seats available at our Autumnal Enchantment floral workshop & tea tasting. Slow down with us and savor the season of gratitude. Bring your best friend, your other half, or make the decision to treat yourself. Reserve your seat and learn more about this unique experience, by visiting our website.
Beautiful hand tied bouquets for grads and peony bouquets will be available and stocked in the flower fridge at Furbish, while I’m on vacation 🖤 @furbishsalvage
Custom orders will resume June 13th and fresh flowers at Botaneity @botaneityfarm will resume Fathers Day week, June 16th, alongside a restock at Furbish, of course.
Stay tuned for a look at this weekend’s dreamy, country ranch wedding near Maupin 🐴
The florist will be out, June 5-12!
There will be no subscription pick ups, and no custom deliveries or pick-ups available during this time. However, I’m going to stock my little heart out at Furbish and Botaneity before I’m off, so that, hopefully, you’ll find what you need in the flower fridge or at the farmstand while I’m gone 🌴
If you’ve been meaning to send flowers to that special someone, please get in touch ASAP for delivery or pick up this week 💌
I’ll be posting three gorgeous mixed peony bouquets on sale today at noon.
First wedding of 2022.
It’s always symbolic. It’s always important. It’s always a nail biter, weather-wise, and then turns into perfection. Every, damn, time.
Cascading French lavender, like a shimmering crescent moon 🌙
she actually said it, unprovoked, a couple of days ago while we were flipping through her plethora of books, as she pointed to a sunflower, and my heart burst into a galaxy of stars.
