Field trip of Elsinboro school 4th and 5th grade.

Upon arrival the kids immediately asked if they could check on the cedar trees they planted in the fall!
So we did!

And then we..
- planted 2 types of milkweed plants for monarch butterflies; 140 plants total
- seeded sunflowers and wild flowers for the pollinators as well
- watched the purple martins and their nest boxes
- checked a bluebird nest box which was occupied by a tree swallow
- walked the beach and carried out bags of trash

We love the kids energy and their care for the environment.

We are so close to our beach, so you are able to enjoy pictures by the water. However, our river berm is a grassy area that overlooks the water, so guests do not have to walk around in the sand!
