We are excited to share a feature in Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) August 2024 Strategies & Tactics. In early July, our CEO, Mary Louise VanNatta and staff member Ryan Gail traveled to Manokwari, West Papua—a remote part of Indonesia—to present a seminar on using public relations strategies to develop tourism through stakeholder engagement.

The YSEALI Philippines U.S. State Department's Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative is an international exchange program dedicated to leadership development, hosted this unique, professional adventure.

The trip involved meetings at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, connecting with government officials in Manokwari, West Papua, holding a press conference, and sightseeing.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to represent the YSEALI program and help Manokwari share its unique story and culture. Special thanks to YSEALI participant and young professional Poppy Dolpina Momot, Donna Rumayomi, and Sonia Slovenia Kayukatui for being excellent guides during our time in Indonesia.
