Last Wednesday was the big Toro Park School Dance Festival where I was asked to provide music and sound. Always happy to feature them on my page because it’s such an important and wildly popular event for their school community. Spontaneous Song Trivia!
Here is video of our music trivia competition during Mission Park’s Family Picnic Day on May 2nd. Up for grabs to the winning team were two Hershey chocolate bars. However, because I may or may not have made the odds really good that Principal Zanzot would win, every student who participated received a Hershey bar. Watch all the way to the end to see the special prize that Ms. Zanzot was awarded to commemorate her last Family Picnic.

Our 9th year of DJ Frank’s Holiday Light Show is happening now! The entire show runs about 10 minutes. Watch it in-person at 718 Marion Avenue in Salinas between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. every night through New Year’s Day. I’m not in a financial position to pay Facebook to boost this post, so please share it to help get the word out. Speed Racer Tricycle Race!
Family Picnic Day at Mission Park School! Our Speed Racer Tricycle Race is serious business for these 6th graders.
Today was the big return of the Fun Run/Color Run at Laurelwood School in Salinas—first one since before COVID, and DJ Frank was there to help bring it back to life!
A couple scenes from the “Mom & Me Masquerade” at Boronda Meadows School last night. Lots of Salinas children had a fun and memorable day yesterday. Great job to all the parents and school staff that made it happen!
A big BIRTHDAY shout out to MC Sean—our resident expert at spontaneous 80s trivia! Kids and families are lucky to still have you bringing the party to Mission Park and other Salinas area schools. Thank you for being a great friend!
Candy Cane Lane is the last song in our DJ Frank Holiday Light Show. Our kids love this song, and it looks pretty cool with the new RGB lights, but still nowhere near as impressive as the “Lights of PG” display in Pacific Grove. Our slightly smaller light show is located at 718 Marion Avenue in Salinas. We will keep it going each night through New Year’s Day from 6 to 10pm. If you come, please remember to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Food Bank for Monterey County (collection barrel located near the garage). Then set your car radio to 104.7 FM and enjoy the show!
NEW & IMPROVED FOR 2022! “Deck The Rooftop” has been in our show before, but this year we added color changing RGB ribbons. Although this is a free event for our community, please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation for the Food Bank for Monterey County.
