We don't always get to hear a neighbor's motivation for giving, but when we do these stories are always worthy of celebration.

Ryan for instance, who is a student at Eastern Michigan University and employee of Cottage Inn Pizza donated an entire pizza lunch to Food Gatherers' Community Kitchen for anyone facing hunger in honor of MLK Day.

He told us that two of his family members have accessed meals at the community kitchen and received services from the Shelter when they were in need of assistance and he wanted to give back.

We are thankful that we could help Ryan's family in a time of need and we are honored to have Ryan's generous support that allowed us to serve a crowd favorite lunch on MLK Day.

Some of you may have notice a couple of new items that hit our menu this week! introducing our personal size Mostaccioli and by popular demand our Cauliflower Crust pizzas.
Here are couple quick facts about our Cauliflower Crust:
- gluten free, but not prepared with the same precautions as our gluten free items. if you have gluten sensitive please let us know while ordering, so we can limit the chances of cross contamination with gluten.
- made with eggs and dairy
- 10” sliced into 8 slices
- texture is similar to our thin crusts and gluten free, with a little more crunch.

Huge shout out to our staff that worked their tails off yesterday! We went in yesterday knowing Halloween is our busiest day of the year, we did not expect it to be our busiest day ever! Tim has some things to improve for next year, but our staff was as close to perfect as possible! They have come so far this past year and we are very greatful for every single one of them!
