We are still taking orders for this Saturday! Let us cook for you so you don’t have to! Pickup will be in Salisbury. And we will deliver to anyone on shift with 911, Fire Depts, EMS, Sheriff and PD In Rowan, Davie, Davidson, and Cabarrus County free of charge. Orders are due Thursday June 20 by 11pm. Pickup Address will be provided at time of order.

The time has come! We are doing another plate sell. FINALLY! We have been extremely busy, but happy to fill your belly. We are keeping the menu the same, minus the sampler and brisket, BECAUSE……..we are introducing Smoke Bologna! It will be a 5 pound (before smoked) whole log of bologna. It will be dusted in our rub and smoked until perfection. Orders are due by Thursday, June 20th at 11pm. Pickup will be in Salisbury on Saturday, June 22nd between 2-4pm. Address will be given at time of order.

As some of you know, my full time occupation is a 911 Telecommunicator/Dispatcher & a partime/volunteer firefighter. Part of that is dispatching for Lexington Fire Department where I have 2 very, very close friends, that I consider brothers, that were on Ronnie’s shift and one of them was his driver. Please keep the family of Captain Ronnie Metcalf, the Lexington FD family, my 911 family, DCEMS, LPD, and all the others that knew him and was involved that night in your prayers. If you can help out the Metcalf family in anyway, please donate to them. I will post a link in the comments section.

Weather is warming up, so you know what that’s means. Time to fire up the smoker and eat dinner outside! We are having another plate sale this week, and pickup will be on Saturday March 23rd between 2-4pm at our house in Salisbury. We have decided to start swapping out some specialty plates, every month. This month we are featuring our Pull Pork Spud. Enjoy supper outside this Saturday, without having to cook! We will deliver after 445pm to local Fire & EMS stations, and 911 center. And we will coordinate delivery time. All orders will need to be placed by Thursday at 11pm. MAJOR ANNOUNCMENT!!!

The time has come where a much needed expansion was leaning on us. Some people had known, but a few months ago we purchased an enclosed trailer to expand our catering services. This morning I picked it up from GC Signs out of Rockwell from getting the decals put on. The trailer is almost complete and we will continue to add more services as time moves forward. We are in the process of getting set up to offer on site grilling, and it will be ran out of this trailer also. Keep a lookout for us around Salisbury and surrounding areas, and give us a call for any of your BBQ needs!!

We would also like to thank our previous and loyal customers. Without y’all’s support, this wouldn’t have been possible!!

When you get a new smoker, you have to break it in by smoking a brisket. This brisket smoked at 225 for 16 hours. And if you going to smoke a brisket, might as well make burnt ends. And couple racks of St. Louis ribs.

We are still taking bookings for 2024! We do weddings, corporate event, Christmas parties, birthday parties and banquets! Schedule your event now! We offer drop off and self serve buffet style. We can also arrange to have full service catering at an additional charge! Let’s us take care of the cooking for you! Also we have some news, with all the continued support and 2023 being such a great year to us, we have made a big purchase for us to help us with the growth of our catering side. Once it’s is completed, we will show it off and offer a few additional services to include onsite grilling!

Due to unforeseen sickness, we will not be doing a Christmas Sell this year. I started feeling bad 2 weeks ago and never got any better, and this week i have gotten worst. We will still continue to do our monthly plate sells if time allows between catering jobs. From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!

We have expanded the menu slightly, and unfortunately our prices had to go up to accommodate the ever increasing price of meat and other grocery items. Since our 1st presale event was such a success, we will be doing again August 19th! We have expanded the menu and will included Sliced Brisket and a Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese. With that being said, we would like your feedback! What sides would you like to see added to the menu? We will have our famous Baked Beans, Mac N Cheese, and our Eastern Style Sweet Slaw. Please leave a comment on what you would like to see. It doesn’t have to just bee sides, but anything else you would like to see us start offering. And as always, thank you for the support!

You asked, and we’re making it happen. This Sunday, July 9th, we will be selling plates and family packs! We apologize for the short notice, we were keeping an eye out on the weather for this weekend. This is a limited item menu for our 1st plate sales. If it continues to grow, we will keep adding items and expand our menu. This is a pre-sale event. All orders and payment will be due Friday, July 7th, at 10pm. Pickup will be on Sunday from 12pm-3pm. Yes we are still around! lol. We have been super busy with working and everyday life with. 1 1/2 yr old. So I have to introduce a new dish I’ve finally gotten around to making, BIRRIA TACOS! These were a major hit in the SSBBQ household. You can bet these will be a taco Tuesday special when we get a food truck up and going. Of course with our little twist.
