The model railroad display is returning this year and is larger than ever! Stop by the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in the Dockside Hall to check out the display! Entry is free with donations being taken in support of the Ocean City Beach Patrol. Starting November 21, the display will be open from 5:30pm - 9pm, Wednesday through Sunday for the duration of Winterfest. Don't miss it!

Are you interested in volunteering to walk dogs, but aren’t sure how it works? It’s easy! All you have to do is stop by during visitation hours!

You have to be 18+ to hold the leash, but we can attach a 2nd leash for any kids that want to join in on the fun.

🐾 Dog Walking Hours: Tues - Fri 11:30am - 4:30pm and Sat 11:30am -3:30pm (closed to the public on Sunday and Monday)
** Tuesdays are always our greatest need! **
🐾 When you arrive, sign in on the clipboard on the table outside.
🐾 A staff member or volunteer will come to assist you - They will go over the rules.
🐾 You can let them know your ability level, and they will match a dog to you.
🐾 Make sure to grab some treats from the front table to stick in your pocket… they expect them 😉 (you can even work on commands and training if you’re willing!)
🐾 You can walk them for however long you’re able to, unless it’s a hot day or they let you know it’s a dog that has been restricted to short walks only. (Please keep them on the grass on hot days.)
🐾 When you’re done walking, please do not come inside with the dog, but wait out front (away from the front door). Someone will come get the dog from you and bring you another one if you’d like to walk more than one.

🐾 You can even take a dog out for a day trip anytime during our visitation hours! We will give you a bag of stuff for them, and you can go anywhere other dogs aren’t in confined spaces - Walk trails, go to the beach, or just to get some nuggets or a pup cup! They all love any break they can get from their kennel.

We are so grateful for all of our current dog walkers. and will greatly appreciate any new volunteers that want to join our team! ❤️

The weather is getting chilly and many of our unhoused patrons are sleeping outside until the cold weather shelters open in mid-November.

The Wicomico Public Library Sarbanes Branch operates a community clothing pantry and we are in desperate need of cold-weather items.

If you have any of these unwanted items, we will gladly take them off your hands! Donations can be dropped off at any Wicomico Library location.
