I have been working on something for months now - and I am excited to start sharing it with you. I wanted to tell you why I decided to do it in the first place!

Denim is terrible for the environment. Full stop. The entire process takes a heavy toll on our planet and I come across nice denim *constantly* y'all. Just constantly. But I have been passing it up because I couldn't figure out how to curate a collection that mattered to me. Sure I could buy and have jeans, but no one was gonna turn to Kissing Whiskey Vintage to find their new favorite pair.

Uhhhh... all I had to do was read Sustainability In Denim a 2017 study published by The Textile Institute ( ) and I figured it out. These stats are the ones that stood out to me from that study. It is actually, so much more (worse) than this.

I absolutely have to rescue and resell denim because we have to start addressing the impact of this industry. So I am launching Kissing Whiskey Vintage Upcycled Denim Collection!

I've spent 6 months collecting, washing, cutting, dying, sewing, and patching denim from 1970 - current.

Some of it is just modern designer jeans that have been pre-loved. Some of it is patched with artwork, trimmed with lace, or custom distressed. I have jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, vests & jackets.

All of it is second-hand. All of it lessens our contribution to this unsustainable industry! Most pieces are under $25.

Launching this Sunday 6/13 in downtown SLC, but ya know, catch me with my racks out all summer long!
