The Minky Gala will be postponing the event until 2024 to assure the best possible turnout. A competing event will be hosting a variation of this event on the original dates in August 2023. It is a different event put on by a different coordinator.

The Minky Gala goal is to create a community and friendship between all minky company owners and customers, and we do not believe we can do so if we create a divide between competitive events. Therefore, we encourage customers and participating companies to attend one or both events according to their ability and schedule. The Minky Gala's goal is to be as successful and harmonious as possible, so as to not create contention or divide, we will announce our dates in September so as not to interfere with those involved in the event in August.

We are looking forward to having the extra time to make The Minky Gala incredible and cannot wait to meet all the companies and customers who have made minky thrive.

The event has been temporarily postponed. The date for ticket sales and the new dates of the event will be announced very soon. We want to make this the best event possible and in order to do it, we just need more time, and it was just too short notice for too many customers. We don't want anyone to feel left out because we didn't give enough notice.

Many have asked us, "Why did you call it the Gala? Why not a convention?"

Let me ask you this:

Is minky the softest fabric in the world?

For anyone who has touched it, the answer is only a resounding yes.

Minky is not the most, "okayest," fabric in the world.

Minky is not the second softest fabric in the world.

Minky is the softest. Fabric. In. The. World.

And when you're the best in the world, you demand for a Gala. You demand to shout to the world so everyone learns about something that only few have had the luxury to discover. A convention is a fandom. A Gala is an invitation to be a part of something bigger than yourself for two days. Your only job is to help us show the world just how amazing this fabric can be. What friendships have you gained over the years? How has minky changed your life?

Come and share it with us. Come as you are and we will take care of the rest. Let us treat you like the luckiest guests invited to a gathering of your favorite people. The Minky Gala will provide the luxury. You provide your presence. Your company owners are dying to meet you.

Our dress code for the VIP dinner on Friday night will
be business casual. Common business casual clothing includes sport coats or casual blazers, collared shirts or button-down shirts, casual slacks like khakis or chinos, collared or noncollared blouses and dresses or skirts.
This is your night and we want you to feel comfortable and have fun while also enjoying a very nice fully catered dinner. 😊

Welcome to the official Minky Gala page!

Our first inaugural Minky Gala will be held on August 25th and 26th of 2023 at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. You'll be able to purchase door tickets or VIP tickets that will give you exclusive access to panels given by manufacturers such as EZ Fabrics, Shannon Fabrics, and LÜM Fabrics as well as $400+ swag bags, a dinner catered by The Grand America Hotel, and more.

The Minky Gala celebrates the world's softest fabric and all the creations that come from it. Manufacturers and retailers from all over the United States will attend to sell their goods and provide a personal customer experience.

VIP tickets and General Admission tickets will be for sale starting June 2, 2023 at 6pm MDT. We anticipate a quick sell out and are limited due to space for the dining event so make sure you mark your calender!
