Pumpkin spice is in the crisp air! My absolute favorite cake this season is spice cake 🧁 we make our own version in cupcake form, touted with a cream cheese frosting. As always, Honey Teahive sweets aren’t too sweet and yet are full of flavor.

Swipe left for our autumn tea party takeaway menu! If you’ve never had afternoon tea, this is a great one to start on for more traditional English sandwiches to try. Pickup for the tea box is Saturday, Nov 9 from 11-1pm at Spice on 9th Cafe.

Spice on 9th Cafe is a co-op space for entrepreneurs in the Spice Kitchen Incubator program. Pop-up events at Spice on 9th can be found at spicekitchenincubator.org.

It's Chai season! Chai, which means tea, refers to a specific type of tea in the states-- those warm spices of cinnamon, clove, anise, and even a little nutmeg.

In Utah, Chai is most popular mixed in a little coffee, often called a Dirty Chai. The bitterness of the coffee pairs beautifully with the warm spices, giving us fall vibes for months.

Often times it takes a lot of work to extract a great flavor of Chai, so ask your barista (or yourself): Is the Chai fresh brewed, concentrate, or powdered? You'll be able to taste the quality in a fresh brewed pot or concentrate from a reputable brand, whereas the powder (instant tea) will have a processed sweetness to it.

Now you know. Go forth and Chai it out!
