Every student currently enrolled for two (2) or more credit hours is automatically a member of the Associated Students of Westminster. The mission of ASW is to promote shared governance on campus; develop a sense of community; facilitate better communication with the faculty, staff, administration, and Board of Trustees; enrich the lives of students attending the college; provide leadership, train

ing, and opportunities for students; and provide a forum for student concerns. ASW is led by the Student Board and includes the following branches: ASW Executive, ASW Events, ASW Clubs, ASW Judicial, and ASW Senate. ASW sponsors a wide range of social, cultural, and educational programs, which include dances, lectures, concerts, and community service. Authority and power are established and granted respectively to ASW by the Board of Trustees of Westminster College.

Meet our Director of Marketing, Lily McKay!

Lily is a Senior majoring in history and has a passion for obscure stories and labor histories. Born and raised in Utah and with family that are Westminster alumni, attending Westminster was a no-brainer. Lily is currently the ASW Director of Marketing and hopes to promote transparency between ASW and the student body, as well as reach the students and increase their involvement in ASW. This will be her third year with ASW, and she plans to make lasting change during her final year at Westminster.

Meet our Chief Justice, Adrian Steinvoort-Cloward!

Adrian is majoring in psychology and hopes to go into human research in the future. He is a major fan of all sorts of strategy games and military history. He joined ASW shortly after he transferred to Westminster, taking up the role as Chief Justice. He is returning this year for one more go-around hoping that this year there will be greater involvement between ASW and the student body.

Meet our Vice President of Government Affairs, Dayana Reyes Mireles!

Dayana is currently a Senior Public Health major on a pre-med path. She is an international student who is enthusiastic about advocacy and research. Two years ago, Dayana occupied the non-traditional senator seat, and she is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs. She believes that the Senate and the Judicial branch have immense potential and this year she hopes to help these areas improve student life through legislation and projects. Her goal is to increase student involvement and to achieve more visibility for the government portion of ASW.

Juanita is a Senior double-majoring in marketing and international business. Born in Colombia and having traveled to 15 countries, she is very passionate about multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion. As the ASW Vice President of Campus Affairs, Juanita hopes for every student to find their communities, develop friendships, and discover new passions through the clubs and organizations present at Westminster.

Meet our Vice President of Internal Affairs, Chloe Mizantzidi!

Chloe is a Junior majoring in music, specifically voice. She aspires to perform in main stage productions and operas. Born in Athens, Greece, she moved to Wisconsin, then Utah. While living in Utah, Chloe discovered Westminster and involved herself with the voice faculty. She joined ASW and currently serves as the Vice President of Internal Affairs. Chloe hopes to involve ASW with the students of Westminster. And, to bring more student engagement and input!

Meet our President, Quincy Steward!

Quincy is a Senior majoring in chemistry with plans to pursue a career in medicine. Originally from Wyoming, she first fell in love with Westminster’s beautiful campus and has since come to cherish the people who make it feel like home. Currently serving as ASW President, Quincy aims to enhance student engagement and satisfaction with campus life. Additionally, she is dedicated to increasing interest in student government and nurturing future leaders for the next academic year. This will be her first year in ASW, and she looks forward to spending her senior year collaborating with her fellow leaders. Quincy is confident that together, ASW will make a lasting impact on campus life at Westminster!

Students, it's that time of the year! 📆 ASW is holding our yearly elections, and here's all you need to know. 💭 Please refer to the post to see which seats, both within the ASW Board and the ASW Senate, are up for grabs. 👆 Please see below for additional information on each of the positions 👇:

ASW President 🕴🗣:
The President is the lifeblood of ASW. The President manages all Vice Presidents and holds regular meetings with important figures on campus, including our wonderful President Beth Dobkin.

Vice President of Campus Affairs 🗳👥:
The VP of Campus Affairs manages clubs and Clubs Council.

Vice President of Government Affairs 🧑‍⚖️🏛:
The VP of Government Affairs manages the Senate, the Chief Justice, and associate justices. The VP upholds the ASW constitution and ensures that Senators are writing new legislation on a semesterly basis.

Vice President of Internal Affairs 📈📊:
The VP of Internal Affairs manages events, marketing, and budgeting within ASW. This VP coordinates and orchestrates all of ASW's events.

Senators 📝🎤:
Feeling revolutionary? Senate might be for you. Members of the ASW Senate are required to write one piece of legislation or change they'd like to see on campus every semester. If you feel like something needs to change on campus, do not hesitate to run for a Senate seat, there is a seat for every class/year, academic field, and the Honors College.
