Education & Experience
I completed my bachelor's degree in the photography program at Brigham Young University. I have been formally trained in lighting, composition, posing, and editing. I have all professional equipment which I use in manuel mode to keep complete creative control over my images. In addition to my formal education I completed a 5 month internship with Whitney Lewis Photography.
I learned more about lighting reception events and lighting people during sunsets for visually stunning images. I believe that learning is never over. As Socrates put it, "The more I learn, the more I learn how little I know." I keep myself learning so I can continue to improve my photography through workshops, conventions, books, and various online resources. Artistic Vision
My style in one word would be energetic. My modern style relys on bright colors and crisp edges. I look for moments that show the intensity of your love with bold compositions and unique editing. I want the emotion to jump out from the photograph and make you fall in love all over again. In addition to this, we aim to capture those classic photographs that will never go out of style. With the team at Abby Alger Photography, you get everything you (and your mom) want. To help you decipher the professionals from the hobbyists I allow everyone to view my full wedding galleries. These gallery shows you every photo of the engagement, bridal, wedding a reception shoots. This proves that I am consistent in my exposure and ability to capture great moments. Five years ago I shot my first wedding and I was immediately hooked. I love the beauty of wedding days and the happiness surrounding the couple. What can I say, it's addicting. Each wedding reminds me of my wedding day and I go home even more in love with my husband. With five years of experience photographing traditional and temple ceremonies all across the country, I am confident in my ability to capture your day beautifully. Although experience and knowledge are more important than equipment, I still believe in using top of the line professional technology. I use a full frame professional camera to produce high resolution images that can be enlarged to create breathtaking prints. My lighting kit ensure that even in the hardest lighting (like the harsh noon-day sun or the dim light of a reception center) I can create beautifully lit images. Camera Equipment:
