Rock Tober has come and gone and it was a blast! My crew and I were honored to provide our stage and audio/event production services for this amazing event. What a rotation of amazing local Utah bands keeping rock and roll alive!

Damned Dirty Vultures, Spirit Machines, Rationalist, American Hitmen, Advent Horizon all put on amazing shows.

Jesse Smith and Matthew Hart have really done something amazing with this festival and it just keeps getting better every year!

I got lots of drone and video footage of the event I'll upload later this week.

**Public Statement**

As the owner of Black Out Entertainment and Kick Ass Karaoke , I wish to address recent discussions concerning a few of our former staff members. It has come to our attention that allegations have been made against our company, accusing us of hindering the professional endeavors of these individuals post their tenure with us.

Firstly, it's paramount to clarify that Kick Ass Karaoke values the spirit of fair competition and the principles of integrity and respect that govern our industry. Our commitment to these values is unwavering, and we strive to uphold them in every aspect of our operations.

The truth is that these former staff members knowingly and willing agreed to and signed inclusive non compete agreements prohibiting them from working in this industry for a specific period of time after they left their positions within our company. These agreements were made In good faith to protect the staff members and the company from situations exactly like the one we are facing now, where two former staff members are seeking to undercut our business, using reputations, knowledge, skills, training and resources they gained from me and my business, in flagrant violation of their legal responsibilities pursuant to their contractual obligations.

Regarding the non-compete agreements in question, these were mutually agreed upon and are standard practice within our industry, designed to protect the proprietary information, trade secrets, and intellectual assets that are crucial to our business. They are intended to ensure fairness and to safeguard the interests of all parties involved, including our clients, our current team members, and the company at large.

It has been disheartening to learn of attempts by a few individuals to violate these agreements, including efforts to solicit business from our former and current valued clients. These actions necessitate a response to protect the trust our clients have placed in us and the investment made in developing our services and products.

Black Out Entertainment is addressing these matters through the appropriate legal channels. We are committed to resolving these issues amicably and professionally, in a manner that respects the rights and interests of all parties involved, but we also have a duty to informer our clients when these former staff members solicit them, of the truth of the situation.

We wish to extend our best wishes to our former staff in their future endeavors outside the scope of the agreements they have entered into. Black Out Entertainment and Kick Ass Karaoke continue to focus on innovation, excellence in service, and the growth of our industry.

We appreciate the understanding of our clients, partners, and community as we navigate these matters. Our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics remains steadfast.

I have a one acre property in an up and coming light industrial area that I want to develope in to flex warehouse spaces. The way I calculate it currently, I could put 20 units, 20x40 (800 square feet each, 16000 sqft total) on the property at a minimum. At an average of 2.50 per square foot and full capacity, that's $40k a month and $480,000 a year generated gross.

I already have the land. Now we are developing the business plans a d seeking potential investors or potentially partners to get it up and running.

I'm not exactly sure what happened today, however 2 of my renters (a guy and gal couple), just bailed without notice. People that were, WERE, my friends.

I'm still wrapping my brain around this.

One of them and I had an argument on Friday because the two of them haven't been paying their rent and have been lying to me about their situations, and she told me it was my fault they haven't been working because I turned off the internet.

They were renting the whole house for $2000 a month, plus their own utilities. They were supposed to get roomates to help lower their own monthly cost, and never did.

They actually haven't paid their rent for half of June or all of July and owe me about $2,800 in back rent, with lots of promises to catch it up.

One of them had been working for me as a Karaoke host for over 5 years. Recently he had been working 4 shows, and paying dome.if that each week toward rent out of his karaoke money, keeping some for bills and gas, as far as I know, he has been otherwise unemployed for months.

When they first moved down, I offered to pay each of them $12 an hour up to 15 hours each per week to help clean the property and get the shop in order, and to offset the cost of their rent as the work would be valuable to me. I took a small business loan out to support this deal, and make infrastructure improvements.

They did it for a few weeks, and then stopped doing anything around the property at all for the last several months. They haven't helped out or accomplished anything there for months, while constantly doing presumptuous things outside of the scope of our agreements, putting birds in the house on my.new carpet, using rooms.they weren't paying for, and making no effort to earn their rent. I would go over in the afternoons to work, and they'd still be asleep at 2pm or playing video games.

As a result, I had to turn the internet off a couple of weeks ago, because it wasnt being paid for, and it has been very stressful trying to keep financially afloat with renters that dont pay their bills, and don't keep their promises.

I've felt stuck for months because they were my friends, and I have a bad habit of letting people take advantage of me, plus I am bad at kicking people out. I probably should have, but things have been in a state of homeostasis until the argument Friday.

Yesterday, I texted with the guy and he said they were coming to our KJ Lagoon day today, Seems he lied as they were actually moving out today.

It really surprises me that these two would just up and bail completely, with no conversation at all.

Apparently they packed all their stuff and moved out completely today, he has blocked me on Facebook and phone calls.
