One of my favorite recent trends is having your wedding party join you to celebrate your pre-wedding party, get ready with you in the morning, and come to a welcome dinner the night before, but not be required to stand with you during the ceremony, give a speech or be introduced with an upbeat song and cringy dance. You can have all of your favorite people surrounding you without the stress and pressure.

Nailah and Pierre's wedding party grand entrances were the greatest I have ever seen...... They prepared and came in with confidence and it was so much fun to experience!

However, do the thoughts of surprises on your wedding day keep you awake at night? Don't worry, when planning with me I ask you if there are any people NOT allowed to surprise you on your wedding day and vet these requests HEAVILY in the moment. I don't mind offending your great aunt and telling her she can't setup her life size cardboard cutouts of you by the entrance door of your reception.... Unless I gauge that is your style! Remember, this day is about celebrating you and I will guard that peace.

Also, that great aunt can hate me, I don't have to see her at Thanksgiving! 😘

I HATE to complain or talk about things that tend to go wrong on wedding days, I prefer to just to action and make it happen. :) However, after Angela's wedding day she gave me permission to share her cake story and the gorgeous recovery pulled off by A2Z Floral and Decor and myself. Thank you for an incredible wedding day Angela!

"Krysta took one look at me and I never heard about it for the rest of the night! Apparently my cake was a melting disaster, so my MOH told Krysta about it and she problem solved with my florist (also recommended by Krysta!). It turned out more beautiful than the original! They had used the florist's and my left over flowers to cover up the melting icing and arranged it beautifully."

This was the perfect late night snack for T + J. Their guests started clapping when the Whataburger team brought the boxes in and the swag basket was the perfect cherry on top!

Florence Friday!

Arielle knew she wanted her wedding to feel fun and very Florence. She wanted colors and flowers and disco balls and her vendor team was able to see her vision and absolutely crush it during ex*****on!

I barely post decor pictures on my instagram because the most important part of a wedding day, to me, is the people that are being celebrated! However, these details were just too good to pass up. I do love design but it makes me even happier when I see your visions come to life.

Florence Friday!

This welcome dinner was one for the books. The wedding party took a little bit of time to rehearse but mainly this was a time for everyone to enjoy one another's company. A welcome dinner gives everyone a chance to catch up, meet members of the other families and take some of the pressure off of the wedding the next day. It truly gives you a chance to talk to every single person attending your wedding and get that connection with the people that matter the most to you.

I also adore speeches that happen during the welcome dinner! The pace is a little slower and the welcome dinner is much shorter than the wedding reception. This gives guests something to listen to but doesn't distract from other elements of the actual wedding reception.

Before Lindsey and Joel's wedding, I had never assisted with a tea ceremony but seeing Lindsey serve her grandmother tea that represented the blending of these two families brought me to tears. Both of their families were so honored and it felt like a truly reverent and special moment.

I enjoy most guests at weddings, but know that I will do everything in my power to make sure your elderly and babies are comfortable! That includes holding a flower girl that was crying and accidentally fell asleep in my arms as we were getting lined up for the ceremony before. Something about those old people and babies always get my heart!

Getting to help plan the open house and attend open house on the same day was the best type of wild I could ever dream of. Thank you all for letting me celebrate alongside you and here is to many more celebrations in 2024!

Fun fact- our team has 4 different lead coordinators that work to make dream days come true! This gives us the ability to be in a couple of different spots at one time and that is exactly what we are doing on Sunday.

Start your day by spending the morning with us at The Allen Farmhaus from 11 am to 3 pm! You will be able to tour the different spaces on property, meet some vendors that have worked at the Farmhaus for years and learn more about what this elegant property has to offer!

This October we got Johnny and Arielle married at a Villa in Florence and calling it incredible feels like underselling it. There are so many elements, moments and tips I want to share with you from this wedding so be prepared to see a lot of these two 🪩 .

I typically wear all black to a wedding. I want to blend in, be able to move around and hide dirt in case I need to kneel on the group to bustle your dress. However, when Lindsey and Doug asked me to wear bright colors for their wedding I couldn't possibly say no!

I am professional but I also care so much about every single couple that I work with and I hope you each feel cared for and celebrated during your planning process too 🤎

Marino Made Events was created out of comfort. I was working for a college organization and there were a LOT of people getting married. I remember the first wedding I ever coordinated that I charged money for and being terrified to charge $50 for the work for the day. I am so grateful for the growth, the opportunities and the adventures that Marino Made Events has brought me on over the years.

Now to receive one of the best of badges feels like a cherry on top of a wonderful year celebrating you all! Cheers to 2024!! 🥂

Charlotte is the feminine form of the name Charles, which means free man (or woman). We are praying that Little Lottie would share the message of Freedom found only in Jesus and that she would walk in that freedom everyday of her life. ⁠ ⁠ Josephine is the feminine form of Jospeh and is honoring Ryan's dad and Ryan's own middle name.
