This is my proud moment as an Aunt! I get teary eye seeing my 2 nephews all grown up and serving their country.
These 2 kids are 2 years apart but was always close growing up.
My brother in law had to dust off his old blues, but It’s an amazing feeling to see my brother in law give his son his first salute after being Retired. It’s also an amazing feeling to see my other Nephew an officer himself swearing his “little” cousin in.
As an aunt who was there for the birth of both of them makes your heart flutter.
Due to the Pandemic in 2020 we were not able to attend other nephew commission but my ex husband was able to give him his first salute. I’m so very proud of the both of them and proud of my brother in law. I know this is a moment for him.
My dad would have cried if he was here today to see where this life lead his grandkids.

Pushed out the last catering order at 3:15 today.
It’s Dec 1, and unfortunately I will not be able to accept any more “personal orders” for the weekends for the month of December.
Thank you to everyone who put their personal catering orders in early.
Orders are only open Mon-Friday for business catering only.

Do I ever miss my 9-5 Corp life?!…HELL NO! But I miss being a lot thinner and I miss dressing up to work because now and days I always look like a bum with my hair in a bun😂🤣but seriously I’m grateful that I am now able to have flexibility to watch my only child grow up after a long battle with infertility. Plus I am a culinary genius! 😂🤣

If you like fresh crusty bread on the outside and soft on the inside here is my recipe.

Artisan Bread
3 3/4 cups bread flour
1 package active dry yeast
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 3/4-2 cups warm water (temperature 107-110 degrees)

Must have a Dutch oven or cast iron for this bread otherwise it won’t come out like this.

Heat your Dutch oven with the lid on in an oven 450 degrees for 30 mins

Mix all your ingredients together, add in the warm water 1/2 cup at a time, the dough should be very sticky but not too wet. You will be using 1 -3/4-2 cups water depending on the humidity that day. Let it rest, covered for 3-8 hours or over night in the fridge.
Lightly dust your hands and fold over 4-6 times make it into a ball l, cut a slit and put on parchment paper and put in the Dutch oven covered for 30 mins then uncovered for 15 mins.

There was only Louu and I cooking getting ready for my brother in law dad’s funeral yesterday. I am so grateful for her! We cooked enough food for about 200 guests. We both wanted to go to his funeral to say our goodbyes to a great man and father but we knew someone had to stay behind.

Thank you to all my male friends (I said send guys not women cause the food is heavy and there’s a lot 😂🤣) they came after the burial to pick up all the food from us for the guest and family.
Brandon, Marvin, Somphone, Tong, Adam and Keanu(my nephew) this gave us a chance to get ready and go to the house to pay our respect. All we heard was people eating saying this food is soooo good! 😂

Cooking Lao food is no Joke it’s hard to do, it’s nothing like American, Mexican, Italian etc…

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to my family and friends who all helped me at the Lao and Thai New Year. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Several people came to let me know that I had the BEST FOOD there, none like me!! We started at 10am and sold out by 3:30! And I had more food this year then when I last did it in 2019.

Thank you to all my friends that stopped by to support me and many other strangers.
Last time I did this event was 3 years ago, due to Covid and having a child.

I was back this year and was probably the only booth that had a fire extinguisher and a hand washing station 😂🤦🏽‍♀️jk i wasn’t the only booth lol
