Paynefully Good BBQ participated in our favorite event of the year this past weekend, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo BBQ Cookoff. As Life members of the SA Rodeo, this event is about more then BBQ to us. It is giving back to the community and raising money for Kash4Kids which all goes back to the Rodeo Scholarship fund.

We first competed in this event in 2013 as Dirt Road Smokers, in our second ever BBQ competition. And through the years have learned a lot. This year was extra special, as the girls finally decided to cook too.

We are fortunate to be walking away this year with:

Congratulations to everyone who had their number called or found it on the poster after awards! Huge Congrats to Eddy Morales - the Pitfather on his big GC!

It's a good day when you walk in everything you turn in except 1.

Paynefully Good BBQ traveled the long 8 miles to Helotes for the Greater San Antonio Builders Association annual Up in Smoke BBQ Cookoff. It was a cold one but fun was had with our "builders" family. Big Thanks to Builders First Source for trusting us to continue to represent your name.

What a weekend in Uvalde! We went into the weekend just hoping to get a call.... and boy was the first call a big one. Congratulations to our very own Sharkbite BBQ for her 2nd place kids steak! Our Sassy Ash wasnt too far behind coming in 10th. It is fun to see them put their imagination to work and try new things.

In the big boy side of the competition, we were able to walk away with an 8th place Chicken, an 11th place Steak, and some decent Rib, Pork, and Brisket scores for an 18th overall out of 137!

Congratulations to everyone who heard their song played. Big congratulations to all 29 of the future of CBA kiddos that cooked!

Paynefully Good BBQ traveled the long 10 miles to the BBQ Showdown at Traders Village. We were already exhausted after the SA Rodeo Champion Wine Auction Dinner, but we're able to get some fun walks with a very tough Group of 145.
