What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative and/or technical services. Utilizing advanced technological modes of communication and data delivery, a professional VA assists clients in his/her area of expertise from his/her own office on a contractual basis.

Benefits of a Virtual Assistant?

There are many benefits to partnering with Dena's Tools and Tips as opposed to hiring an employee. I've listed some key reasons here:

**You can dramatically increase your earning potential. Compare your own business and determine how much revenue you are losing by not partnering with a virtual assistant to handle your administrative tasks.

**My success depends on your satisfaction with my services. Providing you with outstanding service may lead to repeat business and referrals. I take my own business very seriously, and am committed to the needs of my clients.

**You only pay for actual time spent on your project. For example, a business has to pay employees for their scheduled work day including breaks, training time, insurance, vacations, holidays, and time spent socializing with other employees.

**I work from my own home office. You do not have to provide a work area or equipment.

**You determine how many hours per week services are needed. You don't have to commit to a set number of hours per week. You pay only for the amount of hours required to manage your business needs.

**I am fully trained in many of the applications used today's businesses.

About Dena

My career focus has been in the secretarial field in various office environments, I have acquired a diversity of administrative skills, from word processing to computer technology. Technology is my niche. While completing my bachelor’s degree in business management, I came across the Virtual Assistant industry. I love what I do, and the idea of becoming a virtual assistant to offer my services became my vision for my future. Today my time is valuable and I would rather trade my time for dollars and build my own business doing what I know and do best!

In addition to the above experience, I have also served in a volunteer capacity for a neighborhood association, as well as ministerial volunteer at my church in various capacities, from preschool/adult ministries, nursery help, media and administrative.

Good day, FB friends . . . well, now that I am retired from my J-O-B, I am hoping to ramp up my virtual assistant (VA) business. My VA business has been on the back burner for a time, since working full-time, and other community commitments have kept me a busy lady. I will have more time to revamp my business and help other businesses with their admin support.

Currently, I will be working with Hope Culture non-profit to locate private grant funding . . . let's get busy with your business!

Another task a virtual assistant can help you with . . . from vanetworking.com. What an idea!

Here's a handy Gmail tip for those that want to keep their INBOX clean, organize and keep of track email lists/ subscriptions that they sign up to. Plus it's handy to know how you got signed up to an email list/newsletter or at least I think it is. ;)

Ways to use this handy Gmail tip:

1. If you are attending a Sales Event like The BC Stack promoted by vanetworking.com to get over 65 training products valued at over $12,000. Typically, you'll find you have to sign up for each product with your email to access it. That means to get access to 65+ products you'll have to give away your email 65+ times. BC STACK TIP: Instead of trying to access all 65+ products (so overwhelming), choose 3-7 that are of interest to you and access them only. This will help you to implement what you access and you will, if you focus on 3-7 instead of 65+. ;)

2. If you attend a Summit and you sign up to some of the Speakers email lists to keep in touch with them or to get a free gift they are offering during the Summit.

3. If you want to keep track or organize correspondence within a networking group, organization, etc.

So let's try out this handy GMAIL TIP:

When signing up to a list, member site or newsletter simply don't use your regular Gmail email address like: [email protected]

Instead use a tweaked version of it like: dena+[email protected]

In fact, you could use any words after the +sign, just fill in the blank with your keywords: dena+[email protected]

The email will still arrive into your original Gmail account (test it yourself right now). You can give the tweaked email you just received a filter and rule it to go directly under a new label to keep it out of your INBOX and organized for later reading.

You can use this handy Gmail organizational tip all the time for Summits or Sales Events that require you to sign up to numerous sites to gain access to freebies or products.

This simple tactic also helps to keep watch on what that person is sending you via email or helps to easily unsubscribe anytime all the while keeping my Gmail INBOX free and clear of any email you don't want or need to focus on right away.

Have a productive week in your business and talk soon!
