Have a passion for most creative and artistic mediums, filthy casual video game player, and avid Cosplayer. Started to cosplay in 2014 when I wanted to build a Halloween costume, and snowballed from there. Have won several awards from some major Cosplay competitions, and want to convert that success into a prop & cosplay business someday. I enjoy sharing my building successes and failures to help encourage and inspire others to make, create, and above all BUILD.
WIP: sharpening up some rusty skills and learning new ones . This build has such a perfect mix of materials and textures to enjoy. Hoping to get down to it this weekend finishing buildouts of the armor and templates for the clothing/soft goods.
Next cosplay will be from I've always liked the look of this character and little known fact is that I scoped out Hawke way back in 2014 which would have been my 1st ever cosplay.
However, I changed to instead build Commander Shepard from and we all know how that went 😅
Excited to be building again, using real leather from , and eager to see how this comes together. It will be my 1st time using fur and making chainmail so 🤞😛🤞

For the 1st time ever, I found cards at a convention. I knew wouldn't disappoint, but I was doubting it had them given it was just one booth who did. I've been looking for these cards for years at a con.
I played this game extensively growing up, and had a huge impact on my life. Massive nostalgia seeing them, and I ended up buying basically all of them...after some haggling 😄
If you know of these, or played it, please chime in on the comments. I'd love to hear your experience.
Day 4. Was able to make it into the experience which showcased screen used props and costumes. Very cool to see the level of practical effects that were used.

Long time no posts. Been working quite a bit...on work 😜, but have also been busy with some home upgrades and repairs. Feels good to translate some builder/cosplay skills to "real" world activities 😄.
1. Re-sealed the fence boards to give them new life (really enjoy how they came out) Just a clear coat as I like the look of natural wood.
2. Getting the build room organized a bit with an attic latter for easy loft access and putting in insulation before the heat of summer makes it hell 🔥😅
3. Cats, cats, and more cats 🐈. Still looking to give the tans a home (Tyrion, Jaime, and Cersei)

I had a great time at my 1st DragonCon and definitely feel it is unique amongst all other conventions I've been to. Here's hoping I can make it to next year's event 🍻

Headed to my 1st ever and extra excited to get there. First Con since 2019, so a bit nervous too. 😅
In no particular order is my cosplay lineup. This will be my debut Con for Jaime Lannister, and stoked to wear it again. There's just something about armor and capes 😉.
Ok, gotta start packing for Got some last minute details in on my inspired I am really nervous about going to this con, but think I will be able to relax once I'm there. Traveling across the country is a 1st for me to attend a con, and the logistics alone are high stress 😅🤯
Eager to get there and see some great stuff!
More work on my inspired costume for Pretty happy with my 1st ever attempt at making a faux prosthetic arm with only about 1.5 days worth of work. Still want to add a few more pieces and details, but this test fit worked out great.
Material is with white plastidip and a plastidip glossifier as a top coat. Not as great as some other methods, but it was fast and got the job done quick 😅. The base is a sleeve I made out of 2-way stretch cosplay fabric with raised hexagon pattern, and glued the peices on with contact cement.
So...still working out my costume for (for some reason can never be cured 😅). Got some neat detail put in using yogurt containers.
Facial hair transformation. Got frustrated with a full beard and shaved it all off to start fresh. Thought I should try a few looks while trimming it off and document the dos and don't looks.

New Build: getting a inspired costume put together for my 1st ever Having a lot of fun just throwing things together and sharpening some skills.
Checking out some newer type of LED strip. This is a COB LED strip, which is basically a denser strip that has smaller, closer together, LEDs on the strip. The main benefit is that the light blends together evenly between each LED. Giving it a more solid strip of light.
The 2nd image is a 2mm thick peice of Plastazote that difuzzes the light even more, but looses some of the intensity.
How would you incorporate these into your build?
