I know this is my business account, but every once in a while I will share a personal glimpse.

As a military spouse and for someone who wasn’t born in this great land, I cherish our Land, our freedoms, and every man/woman in the service. When you’re in this community, you give a piece of your heart to the people you meet along the way. When someone from that community goes to a better place, your piece of heart goes with them.

Two years ago, a sweet bride contacted me to reconstruct her grandmother’s headpiece for her wedding. With her grandmother’s 70yr old headpiece, I made a headpiece for the bride, for her bridesmaids, and for her flower girl 🥺😭🥰 what a special thing to have!

I absolutely love reconstructing passed on headpiece to make them fit the bride’s modern style but still feel connected to her loved ones.

This is why I say and emphasize: buy a handmade headpiece! A truly handmade headpiece is going to be carefully crafted to last for generations. You are paying the price to last you for your grandchildren to cherish 🤍

I don’t talk about my personal life here since I keep this account strictly J Lewis Bridal, but all I will say is that coming from a military family this day is truly deep for me. I’ve never personally experienced loosing someone close to me in armed uniform during service, but my heart is heavy for all those who have passed on. This day truly is a reminder for all of us (at least in my opinion) that our American God-giving freedoms are not free. Our price for our American freedom is someone else’s life, and that is the ultimate sacrifice that goes unnoticed most times (especially lately)

Stay safe beautiful people and be kind to one another, but most of all be thankful that our American freedoms are free because of the lost ones.
