A special shout out to the Lomita Parks and Rec for putting together a Youth Group Summer Program for kids in our communities. This is our second year participating and providing the end of the year celebration dinner with a Taco stand for the summer Youth Program at Lomita Park and it was amazing!

The honor of being part and witnessing these coach leaders in action with the kids was inspirational and encouraging to have in our city of Lomita.

We want to thank our clients at Floral 101 for believing in our mission to serve others in our communities. Your support in our business supports our efforts to go outside of our normal day to day florals and help provide opportunities like these. Lomita 2024 – you, your mom and/or your favorite Golden Girl fan learning the techniques of Japanese Ikebana creating beautiful contemporary botanical florals while eating cheesecake and enjoying flamingo mimosas! Summer Series Workshop dates will be made available twice a month every Sunday starting May 26 at noon!

On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, Floral 101 sponsors Laundry Love in San Pedro to help our neighbors within our own community.

Laundry Love is a nonprofit that washes the clothes and bedding of low/no income families and person(s) within our community and across the US. We provide a safe space to share a meal, share prayer/prayer requests & come together as a community.

Starting April 22 through the end of the month, Floral 101 will be hosting a donation drive to help support and sustain our local Laundry Love.

If you are interested in donating, we will be collecting liquid laundry soap, dryer sheets and quarters. All and any donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at our shop during regular business hours. If you are interested in learning more about the program or in volunteering, please feel free to reach out.

Side Note: Today, we celebrated the birthday of our youth volunteer Ashley, who graciously served our members tonight on her special day. Thank you Ashley for being such a light in this world and in our community! 🎂
