In light of recent circumstances, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our next and final show. We were looking forward to dancing and DISCONNECTing with you all one last time this year, but it just wasn’t in the cards despite all of our efforts. We can’t operate unless we’re able to provide you with the stellar production and sound that we’ve been known to showcase thus far.

Veluda started as the bright idea of one very ambitious girl. As a newer and smaller promoter, and most times a one-woman-show, we faced numerous obstacles and achieved various goals. We highlighted local talent, vendors, production crews, and venues, while bringing some stellar headliners to our city. We focused on curating a community and had such an incredible time meeting and mingling with you all.

We have no idea what the future holds, but we do know that these next couple months will serve as a mini-hiatus for us as we gather our thoughts and ideas for the next chapter. Your support has been immensely appreciated and single-handedly propelled us into what we are today.

Artist Spotlight: Tommy Four Seven

For over 17 years, London born, Berlin-based has been on a sonic pursuit of forward thinking electronic music and rose to international prominence after forging an innovative sound as a DJ, music producer and record label owner.

As a DJ, Tommy has cultivated a style that traverses a rich variety of genres, drifting seamlessly between powerful techno and his signature broken form. His reputation for carefully crafted sets has garnered him
regular international tours and he has been invited to record and perform mixes for many respected platforms including Resident Advisor and Boiler Room.

As the industry enters a new phase, it's certain Tommy will continue to be at its forefront, powered by his relentless passion for DJing and his discerning ear for production.

Artist Spotlight: TattooPudge

, affectionately known as Pudgie by his peers and fans alike, is a fresh highlight DJ in Los Angeles’ hot underground techno scene. With roots going back to house parties in 1990, Tattoopudge has seen the scene grow in a way few have been around to appreciate, and his influences and sound are a direct reflection of that experience. With early influences like Bad Boy Bill, Humpty Vision, and DJ Irene, Pudgie found a love for powerful and groovy dance music that never left him. Years later, as he began his DJ journey, these inspirations have never left him, but have been bolstered by his passion for the hard-hitting sounds of his modern influences, including Pan-Pot, Juliet Fox, Ramiro Lopez, Luis Miranda, Shay De Castro, and more.

After learning to DJ in 2018, Tattoopudge took his time to grow his skills and his repertoire and by 2020 was practicing regularly and in March 2021 he played his first major gig at a warehouse in Detroit. The sky has been the limit since then. Shortly after, he got booked by Elation events to play direct support for one of his heroes, Brennen Grey, in Las Vegas. This early highlight helped embolden Pudgie to push himself deeper into the scene, playing gigs across the LA underground, carrying and adapting his sound affectively to a range of events and crowds.

While being known for his floor-moving DJ sets, Tattoopudge is also widely loved for his passionate and relentless support across LA’s underground. With residencies with TechnoFam LA and A.Y.C.E., Pudgie has reached an ever-growing fan base and brought his sound to wide range of dancefloors.

You may have seen us recently sharing about an elusive new venture between New Life and Veluda. subVerse is a collaborative effort between us to bring our knowledge, passion, and vision to the underground. It is a place where we will hold on to the roots while instilling the new age energy that drives us forward. ElezD - an American born DJ who lives and breathes for the gift of sound.

With performances and releases across continents, this producer transcends boundaries between the physical and digital realm. Their productions have resulted in his recent surge of attention in the Electronic Music community.

Through his signature style of releasing music on his label F/4 Records, ElezD has the freedom of breaking the rules and discovering new artists worldwide. Though, he keeps his eyes on bigger opportunities and always shoots for the stars. He strives to be signed to the most respected labels around the globe.

Artist Spotlight: Austin Speed

Austin Speed’s fascination with electronic music was forged through early IDM acts such as Autechre, Squarepusher, Plaid and the like. His wide-spanning discography is the result of constant experimentation, and while it includes releases in various genres there is something congruent within his output. His music has been featured on the likes of BBC Radio1 and SiriusXM and has been played by Mary Anne Hobbs, Rockwell, Om Unit, and Pretty Lights just to name a few. No stranger to the performance side of things, Austin has been DJing and playing live sets steadily throughout the past 15 years, has hosted numerous events and has held multiple residencies throughout Southern California. His current live set revolves around vintage and modern electronic devices that allow him to manipulate, re-arrange and improvise parts on the fly and to be able to adjust to and flow with the crowd. This performance is completely made of 100% original material and no two shows are exactly alike. Artist Spotlight: Anastasia

Originally from Los Angeles, Anastasia got her start after moving to Japan. Inspired by the eclectic Japanese music scene, she developed a sound that encapsulates her time spent in the country’s listening
bars, record stores, and local music venues. She made her debut in Iwakuni appearing in the Three Tides series for a local music
collective Storytime; she’s since made guest appearances for Mirador Barcelona, a DJ platform based in Spain. Now living in San Diego, she aims to share her love for music by providing an energetic atmosphere with dynamic soundscapes. Characterized by her versatile, textured
sets, she approaches her sound through a blend of styles that range from the hypnotic rhythms of breakbeat, jazz, house and funk to more recent currents of minimal and industrial techno.
