Carmen and Bahaneh's wedding was a vibrant celebration of love coupled with gorgeous multicolored blooms, an elaborately decorated sofreh (a ceremonial table covered with items that have symbolic meanings, surrounded by family and friends), and an adorable fur baby in a pin-striped suit! What more could you ask for? Love truly won at this celebration and we were so happy to add our special flair!

If you know me you know I am obsessed with all things color! And there is nothing I love more than the phalaenopsis orchid! It comes in a variety of colors but this gorgeous fuchsia color has so much impact and just went beautifully with the jewel-toned blooms.

The Sofreh is a Persian wedding ceremony tradition; meaning a table or a “spread.”

In a Persian wedding, the ceremony area, including a stage or table, is covered with delicious delicacies and beautiful decorative items, each with its own particular symbolism for the marriage.

It was such a pleasure adding gorgeous blush and ivory blooms to Arezu and Reza's Sofreh.

Paradise Point Resort, previously known as Vacation Village in the 60s is a 44-acre island that has become one of San Diego’s hidden gems. It also happens to be one of my favorite wedding venues to work at. Beyond the beautiful flowers we got to do for Amber and Grant’s wedding pictured here, notice the lush setting that makes you feel like you’re on a tropical island! I feel so lucky I get to work at such gorgeous places and always look forward to working more weddings held at this tropical paradise.

Here at Camellia Wedding Flowers we view the wedding arch as the couple's "sacred space" where they choose to commit their lives to one another. The couple carefully chooses the colors and floral designs they want to help make their sacred space representative of their love. It truly is a special gift to create customized arches for lovebirds to say their vows under. What will your sacred space look like?

Both Kariel and Tiffany are incredible women who advocate for the disabled community and educate their followers on the need for more accessible accommodations for those with disabilities. It was such an honor to work with two beautiful souls who are passionate about what they believe in. It was truly a personalized celebration with Star Wars themed floral gardens customized with Star Wars LEGO figurines and even a light saber bouquet! As the famous Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi would say, "the force was strong" with this couple, and I am so grateful to have helped make their wedding day more beautiful!

Seeing the love and care Justin brought to planning this proposal filled me with such joy. It was a privilege to help make Justin and Chantelle’s intimate moment special. The couple had spent the whole day together and as the proposal time drew near, Chantelle grew more tired and wanted to go home. But Justin thought quick on his feet and convinced her to go to his "cousin's" house before heading home. Little did she know, this gorgeous setup was waiting just for her. Good thing she listened! Can we also take a moment to appreciate that view! It just so happens to be right down the street from my design studio in Point Loma ;)

All I have to say is if he wanted to he would, and he DID THAT THANG!

- Creating BRIGHT TROPICAL floral gardens
- Cute dogs with tutus and flowers around their neck

Weddings are extra special when you have known the couple for many years. Knowing the bride is at your daughter’s school taking care of her or working with the groom for many years is such a special treat. THEN they select your favorite types of flowers, BRIGHT and TROPICAL! You know I was heaven!

James and Courtney celebrated their union at the breathtaking Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. The vibrant tropical floral style only enhanced the beauty of the couple as they smiled their way through an emotional ceremony. The bride and groom integrated western tradition with Indian tradition by incorporating an Indian custom of where the groom and his family gift the bride with a “Manthrakodi” (wedding saree) meant to signify his lifelong commitment to her and their family. The floral style was customized to compliment the colors of the saree gifted to Courtney as an ode to the cultural components added to their wedding.

Porsha and Dante’s wedding at BRICK in Liberty Station was a gorgeous celebration of black love and the epitome of black excellence. They chose a garden romance floral arrangement that added the perfect touch of florals to their wedding. It was a joy to see the look on their faces as they kissed to signify their union. You can tell by their smiles and the adoring look in their eyes, that celebrating their love was something they had waited to do for a long time! We love to see black love that is full of joy, laughter, and style!

PART 2! I can’t even tell how wonderful the people in my life are!
