We are so excited to have John as our 5th and final headliner of Season One of The Gourmet Blues Concert Series.
John Primer and the Real Deal Blues Band with special guest vocalist Aliya Primer Johns's daughter.
Aliya can be found in the liner notes of several award-nominated and winning blues albums as a backup vocalist. We are very happy to have her performing with her dad's band on stage for the first time.
It seems fitting to me that our final concert of the season is a night of nothing but Chicago Blues. It is thought to be the most popular and sophisticated of the blues form.
Opening we have a our own by way of Chicago, a true bluesman

A Wicked Harem Riding High On The Hump Of The Camel Recommendation.

A bit over two years ago, after a 15month pandemic hiatus, I decided to get back on the bandwagon. I truly was at a loss as to what to do and where to start. It had been over a year since I had even looked at my Wicked Harem Booking & Productions page and there was a lapse in my personal posts as well .
During that time Facebook had changed its business page formatting and the rules to play the game had changed. Tic Toc and Instagram had become solid things, those were just the tip of the iceberg of chances.
Scottie has been a mentor to me since the very beginning of Wicked Harem so I turned to him for advice, He told me about his and Roxanne's business with BMIII Media Management.
I signed up. knowing that if I did not have help I would not be able to navigate the new waters nor achieve the elevated goals I had set for myself.
I had switched to a new venue, helped create a local fundraising music festival in Julian developed stronger relationships with musicians and local, national and internationally known bands. Even that early on growth of my business was evident.
Early into our social media relationship, I had COVID-19 for 4.5 months and all the interesting COVID-related cognitive impairments for several months afterwards. During that time Roxanne took over all of my social media she was the voice of Rosalea and Wicked Harem she was dedicated to making sure I was heard and my business remained relevant. No one knew I was ill. they made sure I continued to grow.
BMll Media Management was at the foundation level of the Gourmet Blues Concert Series. As GBCS and Wicked Harem, we have taken advantage of every one of their services.
Check out our impressive page and website gourmetblues.com, all of the poster designs for both of my businesses in the last 3 years. Due to our teamwork, tenascity, and combined drive, every show, but 3 in 3 years have been sold out. and I am still receiving the best music business advice.

SUNDAY 1.14.2024
My morning affirmations and meditation today kept slipping to last night. It truly was a magic night for me. It helped me understand my purpose. I dream big, not just for myself but for others. Work very hard and am passionate about what I do. I am always learning ( thank you for that) I screw up, run my mouth too much, and sometimes, I feel like I am beating my head against the wall. I am so grateful that I have an amazing support system. If you are reading this it includes you.
The culmination of the events of the evening put it all into a wonderful perspective for me. With the creation of the Gourmet Blues Concert Series & through Wicked Harem Productions, all the hours of work I put into them every day. I have been able to meet and work with some really wonderful people and some of you have become very dear friends.. Because of your talent, encouragement, and inspiration, I can get musicians more shows, bring business into venues and populate festivals. Folks come and listen to great music and can forget for the moment their woes. Friends get together, musicians play, singers sing, dancers dance, lovers love And there is joy., lives are enhanced.
I am so grateful for each and every one of you who have allowed me to find soulful, heartfelt personal fulfillment. I am living at a good point in my life. Thanks to you!
