It was a beautiful production and an even more beautiful collaboration. Mestizaje was a show produced by two companies wanting to showcase the interconnectedness and richness of the cultures of Spain, Philippines and Mexico throughout history. Powerful displays ranging from Indigenous dances to modern day movements like the Farm Workers movement. Thank you all that joined us yesterday. We hope to bring you more art in future years. Thank you !

Tickets are Live!!! Join us for our history making production: MESTIZAJE: INTERWOVEN IDENTITIES BETWEEN MEXICO, THE PHILIPPINES AND SPAIN

DanzArts and PASACAT will present dances from their repertoire which will unveil the threads weaving the cultures and countries together. Live music by festive mariachis, the thrill of flamenco guitaristas and the lilting cadences of the Philippine string rondalla, will further transport you to the places of dances they represent. The highlight of the program will be an exhilarating finale which blends the joy from Mexican and Filipino folkloric dances that are sure to warm the hearts of all.

Wonderful meeting with the Artistic Directors and a some of the choreographers for our upcoming collaborative production with on September 14- "Mestizaje." Looking forward to beautiful show featuring dances and costumes by: Roxanne Rojas de Blanco, Patricia Astorga, Matthew Padrigan, Gemma Cabato and Joji Ramirez Castro.
