Dom & Chase: Part ONE (because how could I possibly narrow these down?)

From the moment I read Dom and Chase’s inquiry about capturing “unique, quirky, and vibrant” moments, I knew this was a match made in heaven.

This born-and-raised Palm Springs duo is incredibly talented and creative, pouring their hearts into every detail of their wedding day. Dom, an amazing graphic designer (shoutout to ), infused their essence into each element— from the invitation suite to the reception signage and the multiple looks for every part of the day. These two showed UP 👏🏼

We started the day at an Airbnb in Palm Springs before heading to the Palm Springs Art Museum for their first look and private vow exchange. Watching them exchange vows surrounded by some of their favorite art pieces was iconic. We spent the rest of our time exploring the museum, playing with light, design, and architecture. I’m so excited to share more—stay tuned!

On the 21st night of September, Nikita and Vahid tied the knot at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey. This two-day celebration was full of life, color, some of the best performances I’ve ever seen, and a whole lot of love.

I had so much fun capturing all of these moments and then some, and thank goodness for Instagram allowing up to 20 images now—because ya girl has so many more to share.
Thank you, Nikita and Vahid, for trusting me to capture something so special in every way. I can’t wait to share more!

Danielle and Joe; regal, regal, REGAL. These two wanted to embody an old Hollywood vibe and it’s safe to say they delivered.

I always make it my mission to capture each day with an overall vision in mind. We wanted to highlight J and D’s playful and effortless love for each other, Danielle’s stunning bridal look(s), their intentional details they gave to each guest, and the lusciousness of the venue.

I can’t wait to see the film from this day. Cheers to you two!

I adore these two; their kindness, they’re ease with each other, and they’re willingness to hop in front of my lens for their engagement session.

I’ll be the first to tell you, getting in front of camera is intimidating, but by far the best anecdote to that is putting trust in your photographer. Trusting that these photos will feel just like you. That you’ll be represented in the best light, and in the kindest way.

It’s an honor I never take lightly, and holy cow I could scream with excitement thinking about all the lovely folks who have put their trust in me this year and next (and always). I cannot wait to capture your essence in the most creative and intentional way possible.

Moments from this day I loved in no particular order (but also maybe not because they are chronological):

1. Post sunset photos, Alex and Frank throw on their party glasses and look cool as can be
2. Let’s hop on the bed for a photo, but it’s the giggliest, sweetest group of girls and they can’t help but lean into it
3. Color and shadow on repeat all day
4. A first look in the grove of trees on their property. Hard sun? Ya, you bet you will because it’s a vibe and the sky was the bluest blue for these two.
5. The most exuberant and joyful bride having her moment
6. Huddled in Alex’s parents’ house with all your favorite people pre ceremony
7. Name something more precious
8. That second first kiss that always hits just right
9. You don’t want traditional wedding party photos? I got you, what if we combined them with a cake cutting?
10. I won’t get over a good vintage cake, it’s just chef’s 💋 and on film? Tasty.

Wrapping up edits on this sweet Palm Springs elopement this week ☀️

These two came all the way from the east coast to get married in style. Earlier this day they eloped at the courthouse and followed it up with private vows at their Airbnb.

After that we made the most of the desert heat with some stunning portraits.

Shot on both film and digital; I can’t wait to share more of these two.

I have been looking forward to their wedding day for quite some time, and it was simply. the. best.

These two know fashion, they had vision, and they DELIVERED. Be prepared to see much more of these two on my feed, but for now look #1 of the evening.

When I say I am obsessed with Frank and Alex… I really mean it.

I have generally been overwhelmed with how to encapsulate how special this day was, so let’s start with some film eh?

Alex and Frank got married on their family property which also happens to be at a winery. They exchanged vows privately under the most beautiful grove of trees and then made things official at their parent’s house on top of the hill.

It felt so perfectly them, and so intentional in every way. I love ya Frank and Alex, and I can’t wait to share more 💜

Film is in from this special weekend in Carmel with my dude 🌊

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know this has been my year of “un learning” and re discovery. What this means (to me) is slowing down enough to understand the difference between a pretty photo and a photo you can FEEL 👏🏼 So much of that has been through photographing my own life and experimenting with different cameras, film stocks, crop ratios, etc. It has been life giving and I am so dang eager for all the weddings to come this year. I can’t wait to bring a fresh perspective.
