With one event left on his European schedule Sydney Siame made his penultimate start on his European trip at the Cork City Sports International. In a brilliant performance SIAME stoped the clock in a new MEET RECORD of 20.19. The time would also lower his own Zambian national record from 20.26.
SIAME has been very strong in the 200m this year posting times of 20.26, 20.35 and 20.19 in his last 3 starts. He will look to turn his constancy in the event into medal winning performance later this year at African Championships.

The ADVENTURES of M.C. GRIMES and CVB
==Vol.2 Meeting Via Col Vento ==
The dynamic sprint duo linked up again to fight international competition at the 2013 Meeting Via Col Vento in Donnas, Italy on 7.7.2013. Faster then a speeding bullet the two speedsters waisted no time making their mark in Italy.
First up CVB stamped herself as a top meet performer when she lined up for the 100m. Vanburen waisted no time as she took the 100m tittle in commanding fashion. Passing the focus to teammate to Mickey Grimes the winning continued to pile up as Grimes took home the 100m tittle in the mens race. With both 100m tittles secured CVB put the icing on the cake as she also walked away with the 200m tittle for good measure.
Between them the two sprinters secured 3 tittles in the short sprints, making Via Col Vento one of the most successful meetings to date.
VANBUREN 2nd at LAHTI GAMES
Cleo Vanburen has become virtually automatic at this point, posting podium finishes in all but two international races this season. Totaling now she has posted top 3 finishes in 11 of her 13 international races thus far. Even with the staggering amount of racing volume Cleo has shown no letting up as she continues to be competitive race in and race out against her international counterparts.
Her latest performance took her back to her favorite place to race and the nation where she not only began her professional career but also posted her first international victory. The sight was Lahti, Finalnd at the 2013 Lahti Elite Games. THis day Cleo managed to finish in 2nd place over 100m. This just days after finishing in 3rd in her 100m race in Ljubljana Slovenia.
There is much to be said for the constancy with which Cleo seems to be performing on the international stage. In a season full of memorable performances it is perhaps this constancy which is the most impressive thing of all.
Congratulations to Cleo Vanburen, I think its fairly safe to say she is Mrs. Clutch.
