Bike riding at Burning Man transcends mere transportation; it's a joyful expression of communal exploration, self-discovery, and the boundless possibilities that arise when like-minded souls come together in this desert playground. The best part is seeing the extraordinary lengths Burners take to decorate their bikes in imaginative and eclectic ways. You'll find everything from dazzling LED lights and neon tubing adorning the frames to fur wrapped seats, and even intricate hand-painted designs that transform bicycles into rolling pieces of art.

“The Man” isn’t the only thing that burns at Burning Man. There are several other incredible works of art that take talented teams months to create, only to be burned to the ground. I think it’s such a beautiful symbol of embracing impermanence & the magic in the process of creating something just for the sake of creativity.

Happy Tutu Tuesday!

If there is one thing I absolutely LOVE, it’s a very thoughtfully crafted theme and Burning Man is full of them! There are themed days for the entire population of Burners like “White Wednesday”, as well as an endless amount of themed camps where anyone & everyone can participate in the things that interest them. From fire spinning, to yoga & meditation, family camps, and even a camp dedicated to pickle lovers!
It’s such a great way to encourage meaningful participation & setting the space for people to connect with a likeminded community, or discover something entirely new!

Months of planning, weeks of preparation & packing all the proper gear, then hustling to build your camp as soon as you arrive to take advantage of the small window of nice conditions before the next dust storm blows through… and then you realize that you made it and you’re finally FREE, so you hop on your bike and ride out to the open playa to see what silly fun there is to be had. 🦅 Ca-CAAA!

In honor of Burning Man officially beginning, I’m taking a break from posting wedding content this week, and instead will share about my own personal experience within the Burner culture and the ways that it truly shaped me.

By practicing the ten principles on the playa, and then integrating them into my life in the default world, I learned so much about who I am and why the world NEEDS me & everyone in existence to share their own unique gifts & talents. I cultivated the willpower & skill set to adapt to harsh environments, felt the power of deep & meaningful human connection, and witnessed the beauty that comes from creating for the sake of creativity.

Unfortunately it doesn’t fit into my current phase of life to attend, but I still feel the magic this time of year just knowing that for the next week, there is a literal city of 70k people out in the Black Rock Desert who are opening themselves to an entire world of possibilities that could reframe everything they think & believe in the best way imaginable.

I love the opportunity to plan multiple events at the same venue. It’s so fun to see how differently people envision the same space. I can’t wait for October to see Mariel & Justin’s vision come to life. But in the meantime, I’m feeling nostalgic as I reminisce on Monica & Austin’s celebration at LUCE on Kettner last year.

One of my all time favorite guestbook ideas!

A family member had some vintage typewriters refurbished so guests could type their well wishes to the bride & groom. It was such a fun way to engage guests and the collection of personal notes were so unique & meaningful!

Hey friends! 👋

I’d love to welcome all the new followers to my page and introduce myself. My name is Golden Brooke Traut and I am the creator & coordinator behind Golden Bee Celebrations. Yes… that is my REAL name. What can I say? I was born and raised on the beaches of SoCal by dirty, earth-loving hippies. Keep on reading for a few more fun facts about me that you may or may not already know…

🤸‍♀️ I was a yoga teacher for ten years and have organized and led several workshops & nature retreats. I was also a studio manager and helped to build a really rad community of local acro-yogis whose sole purpose was simply to have fun together!

🎶 I have always loved attending music concerts and camping out with friends… like ever since The Doheny Blues Festival was a free show, Coachella was just a little two day fling, and Burning Man was still about the 10 Principles.

🌏 I did quite a lot of solo traveling in my young adulthood. I drove across the country working for The Cheesecake Factory opening new restaurants. I also explored internationally just for the fun of seeing the world and experiencing new cultures.

✨ My life is filled with a totally different kind of magic now that I am a wife and mom to 3 kiddos & 2 dogs. I may not be able to travel as much these days, but I get to see the world from a whole new perspective. Plus I still get to play outside, connect with people from all different walks of life, and learn new things every day.

I’m grateful to all of you who have been a part of this journey so far and I am just SO stoked to be growing a business built on making dreams come true! 🐝

There is something SO special about creating an event in an unconventional space.
Precious Hills Farm is a working avocado farm and it was the absolute perfect setting for and two day music festival wedding!

I felt all the burning man vibes in EVERY way. From the incredible live music lineup to the sense of community spirit with so many guests offering their talents and lending a hand whenever it was needed!

Keep swiping to the end to see what “the barn” looked like during our initial site visit. Such a transformation!

Fun fact… I am an ordained minister and have officiated many ceremonies for friends & family. It’s not typical for me to officiate the weddings I coordinate, but when these two asked if I would, it just felt so right! What an honor to be a part of such a sweet love story 🤍
