FRESH SOUND MUSIC

FRESH SOUND MUSIC is a series of experimental, electronic, contemporary classical and improvised music. We avoid the mainstream. We do avoid the mainstream.

Our mission is to bring a wide range of new music and stellar musicians to San Diego that we wouldn't otherwise get to hear. We began presenting concerts in 1997 and will continue ad infinitum. We have presented 180 concerts so far. Concerts are usually once a month - sometimes two. We take summers off to go to music festivals in Ojai, New York and anywhere else that looks interesting, hoping to b

ring some of the exciting finds here. Of course, keeping Fresh Sound going takes some help from you. We are a non-profit organization so all donations are tax-deductible and go to pay artists fees. We don't believe in "door-gigs." If you'd like more information, please contact Bonnie Wright.

At Fresh Sound music series, our mission was to bring a wide range of new music and stellar musicians to San Diego that we wouldn’t otherwise been able to hear.

We remained as a nonprofit organization—all donations were tax-deductible and went to pay artists' fees.

Fresh Sound Music Series began presenting concerts in 1997 and finished presenting concerts on November 19th, 2021.

We’ve had 224 concerts in 24. I’m now 83 and 8x3 = 24.
That was my signal that it’s time to wrap it up.

Steve Schick was our very first concert and performed again on our 20th Anniversary.

We are lucky to have him perform for our very last.
